I follow your lines

And wrinkles with my feet,

A face which tells a story,

Is one I always love,

Are you self-conscious under

The eyes of all the people walking past?

Make-up discarded,

Smile uplifted,

Will you take me in and comfort me?

It's been a while I've been walking down this line,

Wondering when I'll reach the sharp U-turn,

And catch the sweet scent below,

Why don't you stay in the sun longer?

Bask in the simplicity of your surroundings,

And venture to sweep back the curls which crowd your face,

I know you are proud,

And won't miss my company when I'm gone,

But time has encircled us, ceaselessly tearing
