Returning Home From the Sky

Short story By: janesnewbeginning

I took a very long vacation for Christmas/New Year's this year and this is just a portion of what I was thinking after I spent about 16 hours flying home on several different flights all day.

People say that there's no place like home and I guess California would be mine. It's a place I recognize; its conturs as something to be reveled. I know all her little secrets because they've become my favorite places. even though I have grown to distain her hot weather and impolite people she will always feel like home, and when I've come back to her after a long time I will always smile and reflect on her interesting ins and outs. Our happy memories together will be at the forefront of my mind when I see her glittereing lights upon approach in a plane.

As many times as I've been away I always find myself drawn back to her in many ways: memories, sights, sounds, smells, just her familitarity beckons me home once again and she will always truly be my home.

I appreciate home now elated that I have a sense of home.
