I went to work this morning thinking it was going to be another un eventfull day. Boy was i wrong! I was as usual at my registar when one of my regulars came in. As he was stepping up to the counter a woman in her early twentys stepped in front of him. It agrivated both the customer and myself. She leaned in and whispered i want to pay for his food. We can't let a vet pay for his food here. Then she stepped back. He stepped up to the counter and ordered his.normal sausage biscut and senior coffee.. i totaled his meal up a.d when he went to pay i politely said your meal is payed for. I then waved the woman up and she took care of his meal. She then told him thank you for being there for our country. He grinned from ear to ear and said no thanl you for showing me that their was still good people in the world. A few hours his son came in and asked what cashier took care of his dad. My boss pointed me out and the son came to me and said thankyou for makeihelping my dad find his smile again.. he then asked me to thank the woman if i ever see her again. This happend just this morning in a little town in arkansas. And to who ever that woman may be thankyou for giving a vet, father, and grandfather his smile back.
