Tolerance is a Virtue

Dear Diary,

Am I not good enough for you?

Do you not like the look of my shoes?

Is that why you watch me when I walk?

Or try to change the way I talk?

Ostracize me when I'm alone,

Maybe even judge me when I take the lone road home.

Can you not stand that I can stand against you?

Am I not good enough for you?

Do you figure yourself better than me?

Because when you go La, I go fiddle Dee Dee.

Or since I know I'm gorgeous

I don't have to flaunt myself so others would show it.

Are you jealous because I have confidence without even tryin'?

And you, you're as brave as the cowardly lion.

Am I not good enough for you?

Because I can withstand anything you can throw?

And you, you can't even put on a show.

Because I am tolerant, and you are belligerent.

Do my words confuse you?

Am I to put them into laymen's terms for you?

Should I also remind you that 1+1 equals 2?

Dear Diary, I don't have to be good enough for you to be good enough for me……
