Losing Breaths

Captured in a dark hole of expectations,
Dying slowly of suffocation,
Feeling numb, locked in a cold cell,
Life seems to us like a journey of the flock.

Burdened under the weight of tones of books,
Teacher yawps like a mad brute,
knowledge is drilled into the brain,
Student turns into a company product.

Pushed to the ground, ignored and underestimated,
Trying hard to fulfill desires of our parents,
marching onto paths that lead nowhere,
Innocent folks are losing breaths.
