They say...
What goes up must come down
Every euphoric state returns to a frown
What ascends...descends
Every beginning…ends.
The brightest star will fizzle
A beautiful tempest becomes a drizzle
Every structure will crumble, no matter how tall
The strongest man will stumble, fall
Flat on his face
And grimy mire they’ll taste
So the challenge them, becomes to rise
Rise above and love the one’s you said you despise
Stand up and be proud, bow down and be humble
Up is down and vice versa, tumble
Through what we believe
And all we perceive
Shatter every deception
Alter every perception
But in my case…down is down
And up the same
Driving me insane
The tenacious pain
My ups fall down
A fake smile is worse than a frown
And some days that from is drenched in tears
Down defeats up and I’m left here
This is my greatest fear
