Love Is In The Heart

Poetry By: Colby
True confessions

This poem is all about how you feel like your loved for the very first time, and you wonder where it comes from.

Love is not where you think it comes from,

It doesn't come from anything bad,

It can be true,

It can be fake,

It may be real for once,

It won't hurt,

If you find the one,

The one you dream of,

The one who laughs at your dreams,

But you dream of their laughter,

I can be devoted to you,

Like a rose has a thorn,

I won't ever break the heart of someone like you,

I might break your friends' heart,

Since I'm not with them,

And they wish they could be as lucky as you,

To have someone like me,

In a loving way,

To make me feel protected,

To make me loved,

To make me never forget for you,

To make me feel the love you have shared,

The one that makes me flushed in red,

The one who gave me a rose tonight,

The one who made me feel safe,

The one who would kill to see me,

And yet here I am,

In this lonesome house,

Without you,

Reminiscing over the pictures we have,

But here you come,

Into this house,

To keep the fire burning,

And the love to stay in place.
