Veteran’s Day is a day dedicated
To the soldiers who survived the wars of America.
For those who fought for us
For complete strangers.
All they know about us is
That we enjoy our freedoms and rights.
They go off and leave their homes,
Their loved ones,
Their safe and comfort zones,
Just to fight for us.
Some lose their lives to make sure that we are safe.
What comes into mind when you think of war?
Fighting?
Bloodshed?
Tears of families who lost a loved one?
All these things happen in war, yes.
But that’s not the only thing.
Soldiers come back from countries.
Families rejoice when they know that their loved one is home.
Imagine being a soldier fighting overseas.
Imagine your best friend or your brother was lost.
That’s something that these veterans had to go through.
I’m sure you all have someone you know in the military.
A father.
A brother.
A sister.
A mother.
An uncle.
An aunt.
What if they never came home?
How would you feel?
I would feel horrible.
These men and women risk their lives for us every day!
The least we can do is celebrate their victory and honor.
We should do a lot more for them.
They fought for total strangers.
They fought for us.
