Through my life I have faced nothing but the hard,
I couldn't see the good its blocked because I try but I don't get very far;
I can't see passed the fear,
Because I can't see through the tears;
Wh do I even try?
When it just causes me to constantly cry;
My mama always taught me to stand tall,
But all I can do is seem to fall;
The hate I feel,
Will never heal;
The love turns to pain,
It begins to burn as it courses through my vein;
I must be paying the cost,
For what I have done has caused me to be lost;
Through this fight to find my happy ending,
I restart at my dreadful beginning;
A small child,
With terrible scenes that range far from mild;
You watch her be shoved further,
With thoughts that you will lose your mother;
God is there you hear him speak,
And then he gives you the undying strength to never feel weak;
As years go by,
You see her pain start to dry;
In this world you fight,
To be the one who can make it all right
