I fear nothing but death

Poetry By: Madhu Baglari
True confessions

I've written this poem for LiveItLikeASong's Fear Contest. This poem is based on my fear of death. Yeah, I fear death. Sounds weird, eh? :D

I know death is the end of life and it's spontaneous. Nobody can escape death because man is mortal. Still, my mind is occupied too much by the fear of death. I just can't imagine of getting separated by my loved ones. And that's why I'm afraid to die....

I Fear Nothing But Death

Nobody in this world can escape the vicious hands of death;
I wonder how much of suffocation one feels before losing one's breath.
Death is shrouded with mystery, and cloaked in the darkness;
The fear of death occupies my mind at moments of emptiness;
I wonder what happens afterlife, why must death exist?
How long is the journey to another world, can't we escape in the midst?
Why do relationships exist on earth if they are meant to be broken one day?
Why do people die in traumatic ways and their souls go away?
I can't imagine my loved ones decorating my grave with a wreath;
This feeling agonizes me every night, I fear nothing but death!!!
