I have never in my life ever read a book 8 times in a row, with this exception. Mary Downing Hahn's "Stepping on the Cracks" is the best book I have ever read. Even though I am only ten years old, I know this is the best book ever written. It might be a little strong for 8 year olds, I reccomend it for 9 and up. I loved it so much I did a project on it, ANDÂ I'm reading it as I'm writing this. The story is about Margret, and her friend, Elizabeth. They are enimes with Gordy Smith, a boy with a drunken father, who beats him and his family on a constant basis. When the girls find out that Gordy is hiding his brother, a army deserter, they dicide to help. This book has more meaning, it's not just about World War 2. I love this book, and i reccomend some of you people out there should read it. ;)
