THIS FLAMING IRAQI WAR

Poem By: Bufferdude
War and Military

This is a short poem with my insight in to why this flaming war is still going on in IRAQ and nobody seems to be able to stop the awful bloodshed which is in no small part to the warmongering inept American administration.
How long has it been going on for now? are the yanks just blood thirsty savages in prolonging this war? or are they making attempts to pull their troops out and find a peace deal?.

let's hope with a change of administration comes a new wind of change of policy "get the feck out of there"
Well it must be over 6 years and i for one can't stomach it any longer. View table of contents...

Each and every day we hear of this war

the blood shed of people and it seems such a bore.

Does anyone really care for the ones left to fight

in this hideous exchange between wrong and right

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

They say it is for freedom that we make a stand

And i'm sure the U.S. politicians will soon rape this land

for the oil is rich in this country of pain

And theAmericans knows very well what it will gain

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Is there a point to the blood loss each day

listening to the news i wish it would go away

but nothing is done to help defeat mugabwe's evil regime

alas there is no oil in zimbabwe or so it would seem

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

New leaders may prosper in a land so free

but nothing much will change between you and me

the citizen is told we must defeat this evil in our mist

or we will become the next target on the taliban list.

I like this poem as it really does, in just a few sentences explain the whole 6 years. There was no pull out plan, which is why troops are still there.

Unfortunately because of the oil it was always going to be a target, especially when the threat was to stop trading in Dollars and start trading in Euros.

Agreed with what is said about Zimbabwe, I do have written on the subject if you'd care to have a look, but in reality the only people who can help Zimbabwe, are Zimbabweans.

Anyway enough politics, good piece here, look forward to more.

Hi Jak thank you ever so much for sharing your thoughts with me and passing comments on my poem, it's just a reality check really i don't mean to cause any controvercy with this subject matter but have had enough of the situation like many others in the world community.

I will check out your written piece on the subject and thanks once again for your comments much appreciated.BD

I wish it wasn't true, but it sadly is... I can't imagine how those people in Iraq feel.

I am an American. I agree with your points. Our country has been in crisis for years. It is hard sometimes living here because the rich get richer and poor get poorer. The men who so willingly go out to defend our country are always in harm's way. We love our troops and pray daily for their safety. I am not where the change should come in but we all must try and find one. Very well written...

Hi Ani so glad you approve of my poem on this theme well as you can guess i am very much against this awful war which has plagued the world for too long with the pain and suffering it has caused not only for the soldiers but also for their respective families and i too do pray for them in their hour of need.It takes alot of guts to be in the land of fire but i sometimes wonder whether the whole exercise id just for political gain and these poor foot soldiers are just pawns in a game if you llok at the wider scheme of things, thanks ever so much for your comment once again and i am honoured to call you my friend from one romantic to another
