On a day of remembrance,
I bow my head,
to pay homage to the ones I lost,
Over there, in vietnam,
To the guns and mortars,
The V.C and napalm,
I hear the cries of the children,
Down there in My Lai,
The sobs of the mothers nesting in saigon,
The screams of the innocent
On christmas eve,
I try to forget the sounds of war,
But on and on they go,
Running through my mind like ghosts haunting the yard,
Searching for the pain i locked away,
The door will open on this day of remembrance,
To let my pain run through to your heart,
One time a year
