Red alert! Red alert!

So threatning to hear,

Their boots of worth,

And reddish skies,

Let's hide down below.

Here they come,

Here they are,

Machines of big and small,

One slight terror of one shot,

Chaos here we go.

Done nothing wrong,

For people's sake,

Remove you hungry powers.

And let's unite and obtain peace,

For children's life and beauty.

A restless sleep,

A nightmare dream,

Oh hide the gun under the pillow,

Let the light shine through and peaceful thoughts,

Survive us till tomorrow.

Very nice. Sorry to bring it up, but I've played Red Alert, and it's a wicked game. All off-topic aside, I liked the tone of it. Very war-like, as I'd assume was intended. There was a good beat to it, and it came to a pleasing slower one as it ended. Made it feel like a pounding heart that slowed, and stopped. Very cool. Keep up the writings.

thanks. well i did play red alert but i always ended up losing. This poem was inspired of what just happened of our place today. When terrorists raid places, we call it 'red alert' and the army will be marching. I like it though but most find it frightening.

You have highlighted todays nighmarish society. Where is the good ole peaceful life.

Mindanao. This happened on the August war (2008) that happened. Anyway, I live here and everything is peaceful, except for the helicompters going back and forth...:) Don't worry about it and thanks for the comment. :)
