War...
Into the background of blistering heat
The wind foretells a storm to come
The water continues to crush stone to dust
Colliding emotions are left hollow and numb
As the storm rages on tensions run high
And we fall back to a gloomy night
The flames and colors cease to exist
Prominently ruining the worlds’ only light
And then hopes of survival diminish
Just as the last painful cry pierces the dark
Anyone left cringes to the deafening sound-
It will forever leave a horrid mark
But finally comprehension wins
As the cries’ echo is finally gone
They realize the war is inside their head
And it’s not really night, but intimidating dawn
