Before I begin, here are a few warnings. These thoughts are my own. My opinions. You can agree or disagree, love me or hate me for them. But you know what? I DON’T CARE! If you’re going to get angry, if you don’t care about our troops, then I suggest you just click off of this page right now, because I’m not going to argue with anyone and I’m not going to have people judging me by my opinions.
For those of you who are still here, I warn you, these are just some rantings and ravings. So let’s begin shall we?
I support our troops. I pray for them every night, ask God to look over them, thank Him for them being there keeping us safe and free, for risking their lives every day. But you know what I don’t get? People don’t think that this war is our own. So they don’t support our troops. Probably more than half of this country will hear that twenty more soldiers died, and they’ll just shrug their shoulders and change the channel. Have they forgotten something? Those are our people out there! Dying to keep you free! And what about the people waiting for them? The people they’re leaving behind? The family and friends who said goodbye to him at the airport, hoping they’d see him again face to face. Instead they get a card or a sergeant, captain, to tell them he died! They’re waiting at home, so anxious for him to come back, to see his smiling face, but what happens instead? He comes back in a coffin with a flag draped over it! His friends, his family, have to suffer with the pain of losing their loved one, and you DON’T CARE!
You just turn away and forget about it, you don’t think about the people he left behind! I’m almost ashamed of the people in this country! Just because you don’t think this is our war, doesn’t mean you shouldn’t support our troops! Just because you don’t know anyone over there, doesn’t mean you shouldn’t say God Bless Our Troops every now and again!
How can you be so cold, so black hearted to not care that there are people, Americans, our brothers and sisters, mothers and fathers, aunt, uncles, cousins, friends, out there dying for You!
So I’m asking a simple favor. Say a prayer, raise a flag. Please just support our troops even if you don’t believe in what we’re fighting for.
