The world in which we're living
Has never paused in it's giving
And all the things which we perceive
Are not really as they seem
To tell the truth, I've never questioned why
You may see it in my pupils as I lie
To steal another heartbeat, and another breath
Would be cheating new born babies of their death
So I lick my wounds, and trample them underneath
To feed the hungry world below my feet
