Poetry By: Eathan Markson

This a very short poem about a couple who, thanks to their friends and family, get an important job done and decide to celebrate.

My partner and me,

give thanks to all of thee,

who helped us through our trouble,

who pulled us out of the rubble,

who brought us up when we were down,

who helped get it done by sundown.

My partner and me,

give thanks to our family,

who cheered us through the way,

who tended to our cattle and hay,

who helped us up when we were down,

so we could finish by sundown.

Now we celebrate,

our work is done,

it's time to have fun,

as we dance up and down,

as we dance by the sundown.
