*RETIRING LIFES RIDE*

I am a western man
I ride from day to day
and I shouldn't tell you
how I earn my pay
I have a horse named outlaw
We ride day to day
He knows where the sunsets
He knows the way

been riding to many days
this outlaw and me
the outlaw is retiring
we are riding for the sea
gonna settle down
disappear into the blue
now all this old
will all be new

Riding on into the sunset
heading for the coast
left my gun in a creek
couldn't tell ya what I want most
maybe disappear into the abyss
maybe the outlaw and me
maybe what we need
give up home for the sea

I been riding on forever
forever plus an eternity
trusting on my outlaw
trying for obscurity
left my trail in history
foot prints permanently follow
riding to the colour of a sunset
riding so I never beg or borrow

Only my past is in front of me
what I left behind stands in my way
the things I enjoy
and how I earn my pay
dead end before my future
I no longer suffer dreams
this is how the history ends
as crazy as it seems

Riding on into the sunset
heading for the coast
left my gun in a creek
couldn't tell ya what I want most
maybe disappear into the abyss
maybe the outlaw and me
maybe what we need
give up home for the sea
