May the blessings of light be on you-
light without and light within.
May the blessed sunlight shine on you
and warm your heart
til it glows like a great peat fire.
FIRST OF ALL, I want to welcome you to my page. My name is Dixie Carnley, but on here, I go my Nymph. Of course, I have many other accounts on booksie as well, but the vast majority of them have been long forgotten for this one, my original. I guess, when it comes down to it, we all go back to our roots.
Anywho, I am a United State airman first and foremost, but after than, I am a writer, dreamer, cook, and horsewoman. I am twenty years old, living in Idaho. I love my job and my country will all my heart, and don't regret a day of it. If you mess with my family (especially my sisters), you'll get to see Sister Wolf come out, and trust me, that's something you will regret seeing. I hold trust, loyalty, and honor above all, right up there with integrity, service before self, and excellence in all you do.
Most of my writing will be fantasy and paranormal based, as that is my genre of choice. I love romance, and will incorporate it into my works quite often. Wolves and magic might be a common theme you will find. Wolves, because they are my spirit animal, and magic, because I believe in it. A lot of my short stories are beginnings to novels, that have been pushed to the back burner. My current work in progress is Touch of Darkness, a fantasy romance about a powerful immortal who was banished eight hundred years ago, and must now partner up with the descendant of her enemy, to save her homeland. It's becoming a challenge, but I've given it a fresh make-over. Check it out, because I'd love to see what you think of it.
There are many fantastic people here in the booksie community. I used to have a certain spot for them on my page, but with this new layout, it was deleted. I'll get it back up soon.
There is ONLY one way I will respond to reading requests: you must read a piece of my own work, before I will read yours. I've had many people tell me before, if you'll read mine, I'll read yours. In the end, I'd read their work, but they would not read mine.
Ladies and gentlemen, when making comments on one's work, please do NOT just leave just a few words stating that you liked it, and to update them soon. Those are NOT helpful comments. Explain why you liked it/didn't like it. What was so good about it? What about the characters and/or world did you like or not like.
