                                                                                                it's time to bid adieu...

Bidding adieu is never a state of elated bliss or ecstasy especially when it belongs to someone special. Our school followed the same custom that has been followed up enthusiastically. It is a custom of bidding ‘arrivederci’ to the seniors by throwing a farewell party.

All the juniors had been very excited ever since the party was announced. Since then, a handful of ideas, thoughts and conceptions started interchanging between the zeal ones. Many themes for the party were hashed out for making the party a great one to be cherished. At last, after long negotiations, the theme chosen was ‘paradise’—a heaven.

Everyone did their bit in executing the ideas and theme that was elected. Many things were messed up as the juniors were doing for the first time. But the overwhelming emotion of making the last conclave of the seniors a great day of cherishment, everything started falling into their respective places.

Finally, the day arrived we all had been frantic for. It was a kind of a different day for the seniors as they encountered with two contrary emotions at the same place and time. Those emotions were the feeling of merriment of celebrating few hours with nostalgic minds and collecting as much memories as they could and on the other hand there was a feeling of lugubriousness as it was a last accumulation of principal, teachers, friends and they themselves at the same place which is sometime resembles as a ‘miniature society’.

The party succeeded with the events one after the other which surcharged everyone with exhilaration. After the moralistically vital speech of the principal, the two duet singing performances were followed by the dances performances each by boys and girls. Next was the titles that were bestowed upon each seniors basically that were criticizing them or it was mere a game of showing realities.

Without any demure they accepted their titles with enormous sportsmanship. Next it was the time when we had to choose the winners of the title ‘prince’ and ‘princess’. 8 students were elected as the nominations for both the laurels. As we all say ‘beauty is worthless without brains’. In our case, particularly, the lines were ‘beauty and smartness is worthless without talent’. The host asked them to show some act which could portray their talent and could show that their beauty is smartness is not a matter of waste. Some serenaded, some danced and some impersonated. Finally, the impersonated act among boys and serenaded among girls were chosen as the victors of that particular award.

They were awarded among the 11 other awards which included: - Mr.V.S.P.S, Miss V.S.P.S, principals honor, teachers choice award and many more which were encouraging the invitees for the works for which they were getting that and also encouraged them to do even more triumphant works for getting such laurels.

Next segment of that convocation was shifter to the games. Many games were played to settle down the atmosphere with fun. A competition of blowing up the balloons and then a witty game of solving a strange question was organized by the inviters. Many questions remained unsolved but many proved the wit of some of the students.

Next part of the conclave turned towards the lunch. Photo session was also followed by the repast that was one of the most important sections of the party. Photo session because being almost their last day, they wanted to garner every small or large memories with them so that they could see them in their rest of the life and would cherish their most important phase which will never return back towards them and let them live it once again like the way they want.

Soon everything unfolded and the time came when they have to leave. Soon one by one, everyone left. Some went out joining their friends hand but behind them, their school was saying the beautiful lines of J.M barrie, peter pan.

“Never say goodbye because goodbye means going away and going away means forgetting.”…
