Chapter 2

I walked around the house that week and tired and cautious. I didn't want to be in the wrong place at the wrong time should Kerri or Becky decide to hit something. Namely me.

"Shannon, dear, would you be so kind as to go to the store for me?" Becky called upstairs. Dad's home eh? I came out of my room and headed downstairs, grabbed the money and headed to the store. The sun felt good on my skin and I tilted my head back. I hummed a tune I could onyl faintly remember and that was it. I ran into the most gorgeous guy in school. He was tall, handsome and he had the greenest eyes. And the best part was he was Irish.  I love a man with an accent I remembered my self saying to my journal. All my weaknesses rolled into one. Great. He smiled.

"Hullo, how are you miss.." He waited for me too speak. It took me a while before I found my voice again.

"Shannon. Shannon Upperham." I held out my hand as my dad had taught me to do since I was small. He took it and I almost fell over from the shock his hand gave mine. I smiled back despite myself.

"So, where're you off too?" He asked walking in the direction I was. I was stunned but I walked anyway.

"Store" I said quietly. He nodded.

"Your mum send you? I know mine did" He was talking to me? Me? Shannon, always in the back writing and drawing, Shannon Upperham? Shannon, you're dream has come true and you're throwing it away! I shook my head.

"Nice to meet you Ryan, why did you move to this little small town?" The question was out before I could do anything. I stopped, shocked at my own rudeness. He laughed. God I love it when you laugh.
