Page 1, He placed a finger to my quivering lips. “Keep quiet for me, okay?”
It has been nearly a week since I allowed Jesse to come over again… I just hated to hear my mother talk about him to me. Her nervous rambling put an idea into my head. And, I don't know how it may affect me if what I'm thinking turns out to be true.
I convinced her to keep me home this weekend--instead of sending me to stay with my father. And on Friday, before she got home from work, I made it a point to run to the store and buy a pregnancy test--just to be safe.
Just as I walked into the house, she pulled into the driveway. I had gotten lucky. With the way mom is nowadays, she would’ve made me show her whatever it was that I had inside of the “little-brown bag.”
Before she could catch me unawares, I ran up to my room and stuffed the bag into the dresser. Then, I locked the door and laid across the bed.
For a moment, I imagined Jesse laying next to me. I imagined the first time that he... that we explored each other. My memory was so vivid that I could almost hear the soft tinkling of evening rain striking the window.
--There it is again.
I was roused out of my shallow slumber; I wiped my eyes and looked up. There was no rain but there was Jesse tapping at my window.
“Jesse--!” I gasped loudly, running towards him. “How did you…? When did you--?”
“Shhh, just let me inside! It’s freezing out here!” he said, pulling his coat tighter around his body.
I opened up the window and let him in. After climbing inside, he shut the window.
“Do you know how hard it is to climb up to your window with cold hands? --Then sit and wait on the roof for you with freezing wind blowing in your face ?”
“No,” I giggled, “I don’t know.”
Jesse sat down on the bed and patted the space next to him. I walked over and sat down, then leaned my head against his shoulder. He kissed my temple and rubbed his cold hands against my arms.
“So, how are things lately with your mom? Does she like me?”
“Um… she sorta likes you…”
“And… is that a good thing or a bad thing?”
“Well… it’s complicated… you wouldn’t believe what we talk about now…”
“Me, undoubtedly” he said with a grin.
“Don’t be so conceited,” I said. “She thinks we’re having sex!”
“Well, aren’t we?”
“Once!” I exclaimed in a deep whisper, hot blood rising into my cheeks.
“Well,” Jesse said, pinning me to the bed and climbing atop me, “why don’t we try for a second time? I think it‘s long overdue anyway.”
I blushed and tried to deny that I was enjoying the feel of his body hovering above mine. He leaned down and kissed my forehead, and then he kissed me upon the lips.
“Jesse, we shouldn’t…”
“Why shouldn’t we?” he said, pulling my legs around his waist.
“Because my mother is home,” I said, squirming underneath the weight of his body.
“We could--if you promise to keep quiet.”
I bit my bottom lip. “How do you expect me to keep quiet?”
“I can help you…”
Jesse pulled himself snugly between my thighs and kissed my neck. I had a weakness for the way that he touched me… And my neck was one of the weakest places his lips always ventured to. I breathed deeply as he ran his hand up my leg, across my navel, and up to my chest…
I wrapped my arms around his neck whilst he continued to kiss me. He released one of my wrists so that he could unbutton my jeans. I could feel the cold, metallic bulk of his buckle resting against my abdomen. I shivered…
He released my other wrist… and sat up on his knees. He slowly finished pulling off the pants and ran both hands up my naked thigh. When he reached my navel, he began unbuttoning my shirt. Upon reaching the top button, he parted the fabric and sort of… gazed down upon me.
“Is something wrong?” I asked, feeling somewhat insecure.
“No, nothing… nothing’s wrong at all,” he said, brushing my hair behind my ear.
I blushed a little, feeling a tad bit warm although it was cold. Jesse pulled off his shirt… and, he unbuckled his belt. He placed one hand beside my head and leaned down towards my face.
“Shhh…” he said, placing a finger to my quivering lips. “Keep quiet for me, okay?”
