"Malissah you have to run faster their coming!. I run as fast as I can, not knowing why I am running. I hear screams behind me which make me stop I look behind me to see it’s a fire I hear the saying something between the screams "malissah, Malissah! Wake up!" I here mom calling from down stairs I smell pancakes and sausages. Today I have to be happy because it is my birthday. Hooray (not really).
I jump out of bed go to the rest room brush my teeth and look in the mirror and notice my eyes are a whole new color, weird. I brush my dark hair that’s been beaten by the pillow. I then go to the closet I choose a plaid skirt with fishnet tights and my favorite cross bone t-shirt and finally my black and white high-tops’ look in the mirror with pride as I put on a bit of black mascara and black lip-stick, I then hear my mom screaming for me to come down for birthday breakfast. I run down the stairs really not wanting to see what I’m up for, To my knowing self-seeing mom in her "kiss the sexy chef. “She was always weird and corky I sat down and said "mom something weird is up for example my eyes are violet red and I swear I’ve grown about to inches, what’s up with me? Is it a growth spurt or what?” When I said that she looked a bit pale “what’s wrong mom? “I said with a nervous look in her eye she said, "Honey you remember when your father was alive and he told you that something was to happen?" I replied, "Yeah he said that one day I will have the power like no other, I would be a queen someday, but I knew that was a story to make me feel happy. Mom what are you getting at. “she looked like she was about to fall out "honey your dad was the king of-"Just when she was beginning to tell me whatever my best friend Truttie came pulling up in her beautiful porche that I envy her for came screaming "hurry up birthday girl!” I grab my book bag run out side just before mom runs to the door and "please be careful!" she says with real plea in her eyes. I jumped in the porche feeling that something was going to happen today that would ruin a happy birthday.
