My name is Thomas Williams. I once thought that the world was a hopeless and desolate place, and that I walked this Earth alone, friendless, helpless. But recently I have learned that there are still a brave few who stand tall amongst the dark, who do not crumble before adversary and who do not shy away when someone cries for help. And so it is with all my heart that I am thankful. I do not know the true names of these heroes that walk amongst us, of those few whose kind words are strong enough and wise enough to lift me from despair. All I know is that their words shone like starlight in my darkness, and I shall never forget them.
