Chapter 3: School...Again.. Rumors can and have messed you up.
“Amy!” I heard a faint yelling. I was still stuck inside my dream so the most I could do was look up from wherever I was at the source of the voice. I recognized it though. That was the nickname that the other oldest one other then me in this house, used. She didn’t care about saying my name full so she made a short nick out of it. Krissy.
“Amy!” She suddenly yelled louder this time, I had a bad feeling it was right by my ear though. I could feel my body jerk. Boy was she going to get it!
“Get up!” She yelled even louder this time, if that was even possible. “Come onnnnn, we’re going to be latttteee” I heard her whine, I swore I heard her stomp her foot. But who knows. “Amalia!” She screeched.
Now that shook me awake. I bolted straight up, my ears thumping and ringing horridly. I grabbed both my ears and rubbed them. My hands drifted up to my temple and I started rubbing profusely trying to rub away the forming headache.
I turned my head to the side of my bed, and no other then Krissy stood there in all her glory. Smirking with her hands on her hips! I glared up at her.
“Somehow I knew that would wake you up!” She gloated prancing out of the room, yes prancing.
“The nerve!” I groaned laying back down. It didn’t last long cause Krissy yet again entered the room. She saw the position I was in and pouted.
“Amy! we have school remember!, mom already took Mickey, and Dane, and Rage to school!. It’s our turn!” She pouted even more. Oh yes the famous puppy dog pout. Somehow Krissy gave it a new dimension. She made it to where it was almost unbelievably hard to resist.
Yes, me and little miss pop princess go to the same school, just different grades. And buildings set apart. She’s in 8th grade AKA she’s 13. We’re only 3 years apart so we’re the closest of age in the house so far. Mickey being 7, Dane AKA Mickey and Krissy’s brother, being 10 and then my brother being 9.
It’s not so bad going to the same school as Krissy, I have to say she keeps me on my toes. We’ll usually meet up on school grounds and talk or have lunch and whatever before our next classes start and needless to say it’s relaxing.
“Okay, Okay,” I groaned. “What time is it?” I asked now standing, to lazy to look at the time.
“7:45 AM” Came Krissy simple reply.
“Crap!” I muttered. Saying that, I hurried to the bathroom to get ready, well ‘hurrying would be an understatement. Now saying that I ran so fast it looked like my ass was on fire almost sounded close enough.
Less then 5 minutes later I was shuffling around my room hurrying to throw my shoes on and grab all my needed stuff for school. And of course krissy in all her glory never ceased to let down the smirk that was almost close to tugging it’s way to a blown out in your face grin at the moment.
Standing in my doorway leaning against the frame she had all her things ready to go. While I of course looked like an idiot! Trying to put my freaking shoes on!
“Almost ready?” Came krissy’s blasé question, I looked over to her to glare, but instead to see that she was checking her nails! Honestly may I repeat myself, The. Nerve!
After a few more minutes of tugging my shoes on and grabbing the last remaining stuff I needed we were ready!
I ran out to the spare car we kept in the garage and quickly hopped inside, Krissy following close behind.
“Bout timeeee” Krissy rubbed in, in her singsong voice.
“Pipe it!” I growled starting the car up. Why didn’t anyone wake me up when my aunt took the boys and girl with her? I hadn’t realized I voiced this out loud until I got a response from Krissy.
“Their schools called early to let mom know that they needed to talk with her about certain things containing the behavior of your brother and my little brother and sister” Krissy simply pointed out continuing to look out the window. “That was around 5 in the morning, mom didn’t want to wake you, I was already up though.” Krissy finished turning towards me to see my reaction.
“Oh. Okay.” I nodded turning my head towards the road once again. Why do I feel so DUMB these past few days! I screamed in my head.
“We’re here!” I stated with fake enthusiasm.
“No really!” Krissy played along.
“Let’s see what’s in store for us today” I muttered more to myself, I absolutely DREADED going into the school. We parted ways with a wave, and then I made the sad walk to the great stairs of the school. I glanced up at the big clock that hung over our school when I realized it was already almost 8! I started panicking and completely forgot about what I had to face. I dashed inside the doors to see a few students, my guess getting ready to go to their next class. All the rest I imagined were in their previous classes. My first class is Biology, oh joy! Yeah right. Biology is one of my most dreaded classes, one, because Sid and me don’t share the same time so I’m in it at a different time then she is. Two, all the snobs I know are in there. And Three, Dylan McCoy is in the class, other known as THE Dylan McCoy. I know what your thinking, ‘What’s so great about him? I’ve never heard of him.’ Well his family is very uh, popular, here you could say. And the fact that he’s terribly handsome makes the matter worse. I’ve been going to the same school as him since I was 13. One thing I always loved, was his beautiful Dark Green eyes, I like to call them a Dark Jade though. They always captivated me. His hair is another story; I was always fascinated by it. His hair wasn’t too long nor to short, let’s just say if he were to actually brush it, it would probably go to the middle of his neck. Referring to my ‘brush’ comment, his hair is usually everywhere around his face, dark black locks of hair would usually cascade down the side of his face or in front. The top and back of his head was usually covered by unruly hair. I hated when on some days it would hide his eyes, remember I love his dark jade orbs. So if that sounds weird to bad. Sad thing is, he doesn’t even notice me. And his attitude towards most people can be seriously cruel. That was the part of him I didn’t particularly like.
And besides, from what I’ve noticed through the what 3 years I’ve been going to the same school as him, he usually only cares about using girls. I figured it was because he was to cold to love, OR had no heart. Either one was enticing.
I darted off to Biology, once I entered through the door. I immediately felt cold blank stares on me, some teasing, most annoyed. I looked down to the ground out of habit.
I glanced to the side where my teacher was to notice his disapproving stare and shake of his head.
Believe me if I could, I would be in my own shell right now.
I walked hesitantly to the back. And took my seat. I looked up real quick to see several stares towards me and then others towards the teacher. By this time he was starting the lesson and writing down some things on the chalkboard. I noticed one stare in particular though and that happened to be Dylan. His cold eyes rested on me. Not accusing, but almost amused. I looked down quickly trying to hide my blush, I couldn’t believe I was getting so worked up over a boy! I looked a little up through my bangs to notice he was now focussing on the teacher. I sighed in relief.
After Biology I made my way to my next class and a few after that, I only shared 2-3 classes with Dylan out of several and shared about 9-10 with Sid. So we got to talk a little, mostly about my little ‘Problem’.
Soon Lunchtime arrived and I couldn’t be happier, but with that happiness was also an over whelming sadness. During lunchtime is when I got picked on the most, barley any teachers around, yeah it’s perfect to single out prey. And I just knew I was going to get hell for the stupid rumor that somehow surfaced in less then a day.
Sid and me met up at our table at lunch, and as expected miss queen of royal pain in your ass comes prancing over to our table.
“So!” She exclaims clapping her hands together.
“What!” I growl.
“Heard a rumor!” She flaunts. Putting her hands behind her back she starts twisting from side to side swiftly.
“Oh really, to bad I don’t care” I bite out.
“Oh but Hun, it’s good.” She coaxes.
“Yeah a good, pain in the ass!” I bark. I was getting close to standing up and jack slapping that stupid know it all smile off her face. “And don’t call me Hun!”
“Awe, you shouldn’t be so mean.” She pouted behind mountains of makeup.
I ignore her as I turn back to my food and start eating again, “Probably you who started it anyway.” I mumbled barely audible for anyone to hear. But I knew she heard.
“Awe, why would you say that?” She continued to pout. I looked up at Sid to see a clear mask of annoyance on her usually happy face.
“Leave her alone Anastasia” Sid cuts in.
“Why? I don’t think I did anything wrong.” I could see a wicked green playing behind her smirking lips.
At this point Sid stands up, sneering at Anastasia.
“Of course a stuck up snob like you wouldn’t be able to see that!” Sid spat out.
“Brave girl.” Anastasia growled, awe I see Sid broke the mask!
While Sid was defending my honor, I looked around the room to see most of everyone was staring hardly at us. I started to slouch more in my seat when I heard a voice pipe up among the crowd.
“Anastasia, quit it!” A deep strong voice called. Authority leaking with every word.
“But-.” Anastasia was about to retort when the same thing was said again by the same person, but with more warning. I looked up to see none other then Dylan, standing up a little over a few tables a way crossing his arms. A deathly glare towards Anastasia. Odd, he never shows emotion, but at that moment I was glad the saying ‘If looks could kill’ was only a metaphor. Because if it weren’t we’d all be dead, brought back again and killed again for who knows how long.
“Anastasia” He warned. You could tell he was getting fed up, I don’t know if it was just me that could tell he was loosing his emotionless façade.
“Fine!” She huffed walking back towards her groups’ table. I mentally thanked him. Surprisingly, I looked back over to where they were sitting; everyone seemed as though they went back to normal. Even Dylan didn’t spare me a glance. I sighed, I was just happy to have miss diva off my back. Turning towards Sid, I saw a glint of anger still left over from her previous encounter with said diva.
Sid took her focus off the popular table and turned towards me again. She quickly hid her anger by smiling at me; I gave one back mentally thanking her for standing up for me. I’m sure she got the gesture because she nodded towards me and gave me a look that said Don’t-Mention-It.
After the whole day passed I was worn out completely. I met up with Krissy, a few hours later when I had my second lunch and we talked about the previous events. She wondered why Dylan even stood up for me. But I reassured her; he was most likely wanting her to shut up anyway. Anastasia can get pretty annoying; so far that even her own group hides from her every now and then. Surprisingly I slipped through the whole day without anyone bringing up that Rumor. I was internally grateful; but then again tomorrow’s a new day. I forced my knees to make the last few steps up to my aunt’s house. Reaching the door I was happier than anything. Once I got inside I took a wonderful shower ate and then slipped into an aura of a sleep filled night.
Yay! Chap 3 out!!:). So maybe around chapter 6-7 I’ll put some info down about them and a few other people. Characters include. Amalia, Sid, Dylan, Krissy, Dane, Mickey, Rage, Aunt Anetta, Mink,
(Older brother to Dylan), etc. Anyway you get the point!). Chapter 4 should be out in about 1 week:). Depends, maybe even sooner.
