Story 1- Don't Let Go
"Hold me tight, don't let go," I whispered. It was 7th period last class of the day before break; it was dark in the room because we were watching a movie that no one cared about. "I will never let go" Ivan said, I could hear the smile in his voice. He gently kissed the top of my head and turned me to face him. The look on his face wasn't happy though "what's wrong?" I ask frowning. "Nothing, I'm fine," he replies. The bell rings and, the teacher wishes us a Merry Christmas. Like that was possible, two weeks without Ivan.
Ivan and I walk out together he takes my hand and leads me through the crowd. Thinking about how I used to feel like a lost puppy I was glad for this change. He stops and talks with his friends for a while, none of which really ever pay attention to me so I zone out and miss the whole conversation. He finally says "later" and we walk off to his car. We reach his car and he stops and turns to face me. He looks scared and confused I try to touch him but he pushes me away.
"Do you love me?" he asks me
"Yes of course," I reply.
"Take my keys and go home, I love you okay" he says touching my cheek.
"What's going on Ivan?"
"Baby Please" he said putting the keys in my hand.
"Okay" and with that I take the keys, he pulls me in and kisses me like I'll never see him again. The whole exchange is weird but he closes my hands over the keys and puts and note in my hand. "You'll need this later" he says I put the note in the car and just stare at him. "I love you Ivan" I say "I love you too now go" he replies and so I put the keys in the ignition and drive off. I only look back once but he's already running back to the school.
Two hours later……
Ivan hadn't called me yet and I was getting worried. To calm my nerves I turned on the television. My mom had left it on the news so I sit down and start to watch.
"Breaking News, Just in a shooting has taken place at Locals High school" The news anchor says. That's my school I think to myself but I keep watching.
"Two students dead three injured and the search continues for more victims of this random shooting, no names have been released at this time. The shooter Marco Lebanon has been arrested though. Tragedy to all parents whose children did not come home from school today, our hearts go out to you," And that's when I know I take Ivan's keys and run out of the house. I reach my school and the scene is pitiful. I see mothers looking at dead or injured bodies and I run through the crowd trying to see if one of them is Ivan.
I don't see him though, and in getting nervous. Suddenly I see a movement in the bushes. It was Ivan. "Ivan!" I cried out. He looked up and I walked out to him. He was clutching his side and his face had a pained sort of look on it and I cringed. I finally reached him and put my arms around his neck and cried. He put his arms around my waist and whispered "I told you I'd never let you go, he want to hurt you too" and he collapsed pulling me down with him.
"I love you Ally….."
"Help, Help! Someone please help me!" I cried. "Please someone, oh god no, no, no!" and I cried and cried and cried.
