i looked out to the sea. and by sea i mean the dock. in just a couple minuets we would be taking off on a year long adventure. i honestly dont think that crossing only three oceans would take a year, but i guess its a really slow boat.i watched my mom struggle to get all of our packages. i was about to help her when a boat person got the boxes and put them on the boat. i saw her smile at me and i smiled back. she was very excited for this trip. i thought it would be cool, but we dont stop anywhere and i think it might be boring. " oh, honey. dont worry, you can make new friends." my mom said to be, as if she was reading my mind. i sighed and nodded. she pointed her head to our cabin. " go unpack, we might be here for a while." she said, then she winked. i smiled again and went to unpack. once i opened my bag of hats, i noticed something. this wasnt my bag of hats. it was a bag of skating magazines and CD's. i checked the name tag on it. it said " Trey". oh great. i picked up the luggage and looked for this guys room. im just gonna leave it by him and get my baggage back. no need to make a big deal out of it. i checked the room log. i read something that said " Trey, 17, rm. 809" well, i guess there was only one "Trey" on this boat. i went to room 809 and knocked on the door. i waited like halk a second and the door flew open. i saw a guy in there. he had black-brown hair that covered the top of his eyes, but you could still see his dark eyes. he smiled and said " thank you for returning my luggage." i nodded and just as he was about to close the door i said " do you, by any chance have my luggage?" he smiled again and nodded his head. he reached behind him and got my luggage. " you have alot of hats..." he paused and reaad my name tag. "... layla." my smile got lost. " well, you have alot of magazines for someone who cant even read a five letter word." i said to him. he chuckled. i rolled my eyes. " well, at least i dont use hats for a reason to cover my head. you know, its easier just to brush it then covr it up." he said to me. i gasped. i gave him an angry face and started walking away. his smile turned to a smirk and he walked into his room too. God, this was going to be one long year.
