Bitches In Bikinis
Chapter 1
"Okay, so when should I meet you there?" A young girl, around age fifteen, with jet black hair and eyes with the lavender touch, said excitedly into the phone. But not excitedly. She couldn't seem that eager. It would make her seem weird. She took a breath. This was third week after she had moved to California. She already had this awesome, nice, and HOTT boyfriend, everyone started to pay a little bit more attention to her. She had started to hang out with these two girls, Natalie and Shelby. They were like the most popular girls in school, always together, always confident. She had always kind of admired how confident they were... it was a good trait to have. "Alright. I'll see you in about half an hour."
"Angel!" She hung up the phone and groaned at the sound of her mother calling her.
"Yeah?" She called back, trying not to 'have an attitude'. She frowned. Her mother was doing dishes in the kitchen. Obviously, she was ging to have to help. Maybe she could convince her not to have her do them?
"Help me with the dishes would you?" Her mother said in a slightly annoyed voice. Angel smiled. She pulled her long black hair behind her ears and blinked.
"I actually just got invited to go to the beach with my friends." She said happily. Maybe that would work? That 'happy' thing. "You know... socializing and stuff..." Angel smiled again, trying to show her 'happiness'.
"The beach?" Her mother asked. She clearly had concern in her voice and the expression on her face wasn't that great either. Oh great. It was all over. Her mother was about to tell her that she wasn't allowed to go to the beach. "I don't know, Angel..." She said. There it was.
"Come on, Mom." Okay. So Angel was NOT about to give up right then. She hadn't been invited anywhere until today and she was not going to let her mother brutally destroy her chances. "You said just today that I shouldn't be in my room all day on the computer. I finally have something to do and you do this..." Angel gave her a look. "Please?"
"Angel. I said no." She repeated. Okay, now it was over... or was it?
"Fine." Angel smiled cheerily and walked down the hall to her bedroom. Maybe she could still get there. "Hey, Dad?" She said, turning into a room right next to hers. It was her father's den and he was ALWAYS in there. "Can I go to the beach with my new friends today?" Angel smiled happily.
"Sure, Honey." He said, turning away from the T.V to smile at her. She grinned broadly. Right then she didn't even care how weird her dad looked in that red bathroom, holding his pipe. She loved him all the same.
"Thanks, Dad!" She said, giving him a hug and then rushing into her bedroom to grab her bathing suit and a towel. She dug through her drawers for a few minutes before slipping out of her light jean shorts and pink baby tee, replacing then with a brown and blue suit. A two piece of coarse. She would never be caught dead in a one piece at the beach... in public. She was fifteen after all? She smiled. It still fit and didn't look worn at all. Everything was perfect so far. She grabbed her beach bag out from under her bed, already equipped from the first time she went to the beach with her family. She was too lazy to unpack it. She took a look at the mirror in the hall. Her bikini still showed off her figure like it did in New York and hugged her in all the right places. She smiled. Natalie, Shelby, and Tyler were going to be there. Tyler... such an uncharacteristic name her boyfriend had... But she had no time to worry about that. She rushed out of her bedroom and out the front door, only until she was caught by her mother once again.
"Angel, where do you think you're going?" she asked, staring at her blankly. Angel smiled a little.
"The beach. Bye!" She ran out the door and was off. She knew that her father would take care of everything. Then she knew just how lucky she was. Having a house on a small mountain, right next to the sand and waves was definitely going to have its advantages. All she had to do was walk down the stairs and she'd be there... walk down all ten flights of stairs... She sighed and got to work on that.
"Angel!" She heard her name. So she was on time? Or was she unexpectantly early? She turned. There was everyone. Everyone in the extremely small and private group that she was finally going to be a part of. Sure she had talked to the girls before and she was going out with Tyler, but being invited to go somewhere changed everything. Now it was... official. She smiled.
"Hey, Natalie. Shelby." She called, waving to her friends. She only greeted Tyler with a kiss. Everything was going to be great. Natalie was wearing a pink and brown bikini with stars on it and Shelby had a pink and blue one, with hearts. It was almost as if they had done that on purpose... They just gigled and started walking further onto the beach. The sand was hot and the sun was hotter but nothing was going to ruin this day for Angel. She was used to walking around barefoot and being with everyone in public made her almost not notice how her feet were burning... almost.
"Damn..." Shelby muttered. "I still need to put on sunscreen. She stared up into the sky. It was obvious that if she didn't she was going to burn. And that wouldn't look good at all when she went back to school on Monday. She sighed. "Anyone got sunscreen?" She looked around. Angel got into her bag and pulled out a bottle full.
"Here." She said, tossing it to her. Shelby thanked her and started to put it on her arms. Then paused, turning to Tyler, in all his dirty blonde hair and brown eyes hottness that he had. She never smiled, just asked with a straight face if he would oput some on her back. Angel, didn't like that. But she wasn't going to say anything. It seemed totally innocent and she wasn't going to call Shelby out unless she knew that it was really something. So, she acted like nothing was happening and walked into the cold water with Natalie.
No one really knew it then, but that day was going to be the most embarrassing day ever. Not for Angel. For Shelby. But hey, accident or not, Shelby fights back.
