My fingers were already numb from the cold.
I'd only made it half way down the road and I was already freezing to death.
I was SO clever to wear just my orange 'element' billa bong hoodie.
I could clearly see the tips of my fingers turning a slight purple colour.
I shoved my hands into my jeans pockets and carried on quickly walking down the street, towards the train station.
I was to meet Brogan, a old friend of mine, at Liverpool Lime street train station.
It's been seven years since i've seen Brogan.
Primary school, I believe.
He found me on facebook.
We got talking, became close again.
Then, one day, he asked me to meet him at Liverpool.
Considering Liverpool is only a thirty minute train ride from Widnes, I didn't see why not.
I crossed the bridge to get to platform two of Widnes train station.
I was the only one at the train station.
There was an eery feel to the place.
The mist, of course, was adding to the effect.
I stepped forward to the edge of the platform and turned my head to the right.
I could see two rounded yellow lights in the distance.
I waited for atleast five minutes as the train pulled up to the station.
The doors slide open quickly.
It quite shocked me, to be honest.
No one was on the train.
I took a window seat in carriage three.
The train took its time to start again and chug along the tracks.
No one asked me to show my ticket either.
It did not occur to me that there was something was wrong.
All I thought was; "Oh. I don't have to buy a ticket, an extra fiver for me!"
The train crawled along slowly.
When it finally pulled into Liverpool, I jumped off and headed into the main part of the station.
I had no idea of what Brogan could look like now...
