RHIANNON
She opened the door and stood in the doorway staring at me like as if I had done something wrong and suddenly her face softened and she closed the door. She walked slowly towards my bed like as if I was a scared animal that was hurt and she sat right beside me clutching one of my pillows.
"Rhiannon tell me the truth darling, what did that woman do to you?"
"For the millionth time, she helped me. That sick bastard took me by force, why would I lie to you about that?"
"I'm sorry princess." She said hugging me tightly.
"Mom please stop calling me princess."
"Of course Rhiannon"
"Mom."
"Yes darling?"
"Why don't you love me?" She stayed silent for a minute.
"Rhiannon." She said cupping my face with her hands "I do love you, your my favorite daughter, you know that."
"That's not love, that’s favoritism."
"Well I give you everything you need, everything you want."
"Like I told Rowan, there's no use to having everything I want if I can't have love. That is why Marcia has two kids of a guy who keeps leaving her every time she gets pregnant and who she thinks loves her, and that is why pearl has been fighting over the same guy with some girl since I have the ability to remember!"
"They were both failures but you, you Rhiannon, you're a goddess. You're divine in every sense. You're beautiful, intelligent, and you have a great body. You’ll move on easily. You'll forget what happened today in no time."
Of course she would be one to take rape lightly. I didn't think I would be able to forget that even if I lived forever.
"I want to be alone." I said.
"Of course, you need your beauty sleep."

"Rhiannon get up!" Yelled my mom.
"I told you I'm not going to school!" I yelled throwing a pillow at her. I had never acted this way but what happened yesterday made me feel different than before, it had made me want to take control of everything in my life.
"And I told you, you are going!"
"Get out of my room." I yelled. I was determined to not go.
"Rhiannon, what in hell has gotten into you?"
"That pervert that's what!" I yelled looking at her in the eye.
"Ok, fine. You won't go today but you will go tomorrow."
"Oh really?"
"Yes really."
"We'll see about that." I said in a low voice and laid back down on my bed. She walked out of my room looking somewhat frightened. I didn't sleep after she left I stayed remembering yesterday and crying some more. Then I realized that the man from yesterday had said my name... how did he know my name? I got up from my bed and searched through my hamper for the dress Rowan had given me yesterday. I unballed it and out fell a piece of paper with her number on it. I looked for my cell phone but soon I remembered it had been mashed into pieces when it flew out of my hands. I went down stairs in a rush to grab the phone in the living room.
"What are you doing?" She said in a frustrated tone.
"Whatever I'm doing is none of your damn business mom." I said tauntingly.
"Rhiannon stop talking to me like that!" Her eyes were getting filled with tears.
"After all this time of not having any emotions do you honestly think that I'm going to believe your crocodile tears?"
"I'm going to work." She said wiping her face and rushing towards the door. For a minute I felt bad because I had never talked to her like that, but then again she deserved it. It was because of her carelessness that my life went out of whack. I looked at the phone and remembered that I was going to call Rowan. I rushed back upstairs and into my room, got the piece of paper and started dialing.
"Hello?"
"Rowan?"
"Rhiannon?"
"How did you know it was me?"
"Well I've never heard a voice more beautiful than yours, and you’re still growing. I imagine you will be able to enchant anyone with that voice of yours in a couple of years."
I smiled and answered "I hope. Listen I wanted to talk... about yesterday and you’re the only person who knows about it. I'd prefer no one else know."
"I understand. Sometimes things are embarrassing."
"Yes, can we meet up somewhere?"
"Is your mom home?"
"No she just left for work."
"I'll pick you up in twenty minutes."
"Ok."
I clicked on the end button and went to my closet. It had only the best clothes money could buy. I put on army green cargo pants, a white tank top and sweater, and sneakers that were so white they looked like they reflected light. I brushed my straight hair on my vanity mirror for what seemed like hours before I heard a honk. I looked outside my window to see a fancy black car waiting outside and I rushed to get the spare house keys in the kitchen then back to the front door. I made sure I locked the door before rushing into Rowan's car. It felt so unusual being happy to meet up with a person who I met just yesterday.
"Where do you want to go?" She asked with a beautiful smile. She was wearing simple denim jeans a black tanktop and black sandals and somehow it went perfectly with her pretty face and blonde curls.
"Anywhere." I answered.
"Anywhere sounds nice." She said grinning.
