The cool breeze hit me in the face and was surprisingly refreshing.  Landon led me to a bench under a big willow tree and gestured me to sit down.  We kept quite for a few minutes both alone with our thoughts.

“So puppet” he said and looked at me. “What made a decent lady like you come to a C-class party like this?”

“Right back at you, Smiley.” Oh no. I was flirting with him.

He chuckled and replied “Nice one.  Well, I’ve known Kyle for a long time unfortunately.  I have to attend every last one of his bashes.  Even though I don’t want to.  I’m not much of a party guy.”

“Oh yeah? What kind of guy are you then? Wait, let me guess.  You work for Daddy and like to throw yourself out of planes in your spare time. Am I right?”

“Almost” he smiled. “I work for my Dad’s insurance company in my spare time actually.  I’m a cage fighter.”

“A cage fighter? Serious?”

“Yep.  I love it. It’s my passion.  I want to go pro someday.”

“Let me get this straight.  You get the living daylights punched out of you and in your spare time you’re a 9 to 5 kinda guy? You’ve got a real Clarke Kent thing going on, don’t you?”

“Hahahaha.  Yeah I guess so.  I don’t know why I do it but its in me.”

“You got any bruises.” I asked

“Loads. Want to see?” and with that he lifted his borrowed shirt to reveal a nice taut stomach.  I am not seeing this.  I am not seeing this I said to myself.  Man oh man. I don’t like sushi but I’ll eat it off his stomach any day.  Bring it on, Bother!

“Uh great.” I said faintly although I couldn't bring myself to look for the scars.  I only saw his six pack.  Thank goodness it was pretty dark outside otherwise he would see how I’m blushing.

“Aww how cute! She’s blushing” he said and turned my face towards him.  He looked at me so attentively, I thought I would die.  He lifted his hand and touched my cheek and moved towards my lips.  He lightly stoked over them and lifted my chin.  Landon looked me in the eyes again and began moving forward.  Ever so softly he kissed me.  So soft I thought I imagined it.  He smiled and kissed me again.  This time so passionately, my head started to spin and my body caught fire.

Surrounded by the stars and shining moon, I shared my first kiss with the man of my dreams.
