"Hey you made it." I smiled at her. She sat down.

"I'm sorry it took so long. I had to pick him up from day care because they had to close it to fix a broken window." She sighed asking the waiter to bring over a booster seat.
"Don't worry about it. I understand. How are you?" I ask swiping some wipe cream off the top of my hot coco.
"I'm good, life is just a little hard at the moment but we are good." She said unzipping the bundle till a baby came out of it and she sat him in the high chair.
"How so?" I asked ordering a bagel with cream cheese as she ordered lunch. She looked at me. "You can tell me, I'm here to help." I said putting my hand over hers. She sighed.
"My Dad left a couple of days ago and I'm not getting a lot of money and Asher is just," she started to laugh as Asher picked up my cell phone my stared to chew on it. I laughed at him. "He is just costing me more that I am making. I am having trouble paying for his baby sitting bills and the food and. Oh I don't even know." She sighed taking a drink of her coffee.
"If you ever need a baby sitter do call me. I could be happy to help." I smiled waving at Asher as he looked at me. He was Owen's kid. You could tell. He had his Black hair, his face, but luckily he had his Mom's eyes.
"Why are you helping me?" She asked. I looked at her. "Not that I'm complaining. I'm just saying, why do you want to? We were never friends." I looked down.
"I don't know. I think it's the dreams I am having. I feel like I have to, like I lost something I never had, but loved anyway. Like I had a baby but I lost him. Helping you makes me feel like this baby wants me to help you so you don't need to worry about anything. God now I sound crazy." I said laughing wiping my away.
"No, you don't Ryan. I know how you feel. When I got pregnant with Asher, I didn't care that I got pregnant because I was raped. I didn't that I should have got rid of him then and there. I felt love. That what happened wasn't as bad because this miracle was coming out of it. I had to protect him from everything and everyone. No one knew why I felt this way but I loved him like the first time I found out I was pregnant with him. He is perfect in my eyes. Even if he looks like his father." She sighed taking a bite out of her salad.
"I felt like I was alone." I whispered. "That time I thought, the dreams. I felt so alone every time I had that dream of me being pregnant, I always thought I was alone." I said rubbing my eyes.
"Never, you are never alone." She said putting her hand on top of mine. "We have each other now." She smiled as he eyes filled with tears.
"We can stick together." She nodded. "So when do you work so I can watch this little guy?" I asked patted his hand as he chewed on some little pieces of Banana.
"I go to school in the morning from about 9 o'clock to 12 then I go to work from 1 to 6." She said.
"Okay so after school I will pick him up and you can pick him up from my house. Save you a little bit of money. Do you work on the weekends?" I asked her biting my bagel.
"Yeah I work from 7 to about 11 at night when he is asleep." She nodded. "I want to spend some time with him, even with all this work." She sighed.
"Well I'm here to help now, don't worry. If you ever need me to baby sit, buy something; pick him up from day care because he got sick. Even during school. I'm here for you from now on." I smiled at her. Her eyes started to water.
"Thank you. It means so much to me." She said picking up Asher as he started to cry.
"What do you have after this?" I asked drinking the rest of my hot coco.
"I have to go drop him off at day care because of the trail I had to miss a lot of work so I have to go back to work." She said pulling out her wallet.
"Let me take him. We can go to my house and hang out for a little bit. It will be fun." I smiled. She looked at me.
"That would be a god sent. Thank you. It will save me some money." She smiled putting Asher's jackets on.
"I would love to. Let me just take the car seat from your car and put it in my truck. I'll feed him dinner and I will even give him a nice bath too." I smiled as she picked him up as we walked out.
"Sure tell me just get it out." She said handing me the baby who was trying to catch the falling snow flakes with his hands.I opened my truck and turned on the heater so it would be warm by the time I get him inside it. Emmy put the car seat in my car and buckled it in. "okay my little baby. I love you little guy. Have fun. Give Mommy a kiss." Asher leaned his head and kissed Emmy. I sat him in the car seat and looked at her.
"All set?" I asked. She handed me a diaper bag.
"That everything we should need. I will call you when I can pick him up. Thank you so much Ryan, you're a life saver." She said hugging me.
"Don't worry about it. Go have fun at work." I laughed strapping Asher in to the seat. I closed the door and got back into the driver's seat and looked at Asher in the mirror. He sat there smiling looking around my truck.
"Ready to go back to my house Buddy?" I smiled at him. I pulled out of the parking lot and started to drive home…….
