"What's up Kelsey?" Tanner asked looking at his sister. I ate another one of my French fries before I looked at her.

"Do you want me to go sit in the car?" I asked looking at the two of them. Kelsey looked at me. "I can if you two want to take alone. I don't mind." She shook her head.
"No its okay. I think you might want to hear this too. Since it looks like your part of the family now." Tanner put his arm around me before stealing another fry. She looked down making Tanner freeze, his burger half way to his mouth.
"Kelsey what's wrong?" He asked. I watched tears forming in her eyes. "Kelsey tell me." She looked down.
"I don't want to stay with Mom and Dad anymore. I want out of there. I want out of that house. I want out of that town. I want out of that county. I want out of that state. I want out of Jersey. Tanner I can't stay there anymore. I can't. Please don't make me go back." I looked at Tanner as his face turned to stone.
"What are they doing to you?" He asked looking at me before his eyes darted back to his sister.
"Tanner I don't want to talk about it." I looked at her before looking down. I put my hand on my belly suddenly not hungry. Tanner looked at me as I rubbed the sickening feeling I had. Tanner leaned over and pressed his lips to my head.
"Tanner I don't feel so good." I said closing my eyes. I felt a hand on my forehead making me open my eyes. Tanner stood over me with his sister next to him.
"You should get her home and in bed. She looks tired." She stated cleaning up her food and putting mine in a bag to take home. I looked at Tanner to see concern written all over his face.
"Come on I will just drop my sister over at her hotel before I take you back to the apartment." I nodded gently standing up. Tanner helped me to the car were Kelsey was already inside. Tanner sat me in the passenger seat as my eyes started to droop closed letting sleep come over me……..
Kelsey watched as Tanner unclipped his sling gently stretching out his arm. "What are you doing Tanner?" She asked him. He looked over.
"I'm driving you home before I drive my pregnant girlfriend home to go to bed. What does it look like Kel?"
"Well it looks like my younger brother is being an idiot, that's what it looks like." He shook his head sitting in the drives side of my truck and buckling his seatbelt. Tanner pulled up to a hotel about 10 minutes off base, putting the car in park. "Surprisingly that wasn't too bad." She said giggling slightly. Tanner smiled at her.
"So when are you going to move down here. I would say you could move in with me but we need the second bedroom for the babies." Kelsey put her hand on her brother's cheek.
"I know Tanner. I need to live on my own. I need to be free from Mom and Dad. I probably will fly home; pack everything up, than drive back down here. It will help me clear my head. Now go take the girl you love more than anything home." Tanner looked at as I lay fast asleep on the window. He smiled at me before looking back at his sister.
"I love you Kelsey." He sighed. "Call me when you land at the airport okay?" She nodded.
"I love you too little bro. Be safe, and I promise I will call you." She kissed his cheek before walking into the hotel. Tanner pulled away driving silently to the apartment, with only the hum of music in the background from the radio………
I woke up right as Tanner pulled up into a parking spot. I blinked my eyes trying to rub the sleep from them. I felt Tanner's hand run on my face. "Hey Sleepy we are home. Come on and we will get in bed." I nodded getting out of the car as Tanner grabbed his kit and slipped his arm back into the sling. "You ready?" He asked me. I nodded my head at him walking with my hand in his. We got into the elevator silently before we made our away to our apartment. I opened the door to the dark rooms and took a deep breath. It smelled like home. I looked over at Tanner as he tried to take his boots off.
"Come here Tan and I will do it." I sat down on the coffee table as he sat on the couch. I took his foot into my hand and unlashed his combat boots. I pulled them off gently so I didn't hit my bump. I looked up at him as he looked at me. "I'm going to go to bed okay? I love you." I said getting up and kissing him.
"I think I'm just going to take a shower and join you in bed." I nodded picking up the food and putting it in the frig. I walked into the bedroom as I heard the shower start up in the bathroom. I pulled off my clothes slipping into one of Tanner's t-shirts and some shorts before slipping into the comforts of our bed. I closed my eyes and listened to the water running, before it turned off. I looked over to the door as Tanner walked in with just a towel and saran wrap around the bandage on his shoulder. I watched as he slipped on a pair of boxers and sweat pants before he tried to take off the saran wrap. "Let me do it." I smiled at him pushing myself up into a sitting position. I patted the spot in front of me for him to sit down. He sat down and I gently started to unwrap the waterproof layer. After I was done I pressed my lips to his bare shoulder. He looked over at me.
"I love you." He whispered before he pressed his lips to mine. I ran my hand over the back of his head stopping to run my fingers over his dog tags.
"I love you too." I whispered as he pulled my shirt over my head before he crushed his lips back to mine……..
