This story is different... Probably not like any other story you have ever read. Which is what you are looking for. Who doesn't want something a little different?
This story takes place in a pretty small town named Holm's Creek. Near a lake that everybody goes to during the summer, it has a sandy beach look to it. You see people walk across the streets in bathing suits and shops line the streets and homes on the edge of the high areas above the lake. You can see the sun set easily from those houses. It's the middle of July, hottest time in Holm's creek. It's about noon, and you see five girls near shore of the lake. The lake moves like a beach, mini waves. It's hot, but there is a small cool breeze which makes it almost perfect. Those five girls are who you want to know about.
There is Talia, she lays there on her stomach on a local chair that folds back. She laid her white light blue towel on top, her swim suit top undone in the back only for a perfect back tan. Her bathing suit black and white polka dot. She has light sandy, beach blond hair that waves a inch or two past her shoulders. Her sunglasses are on top of her head. She has perfect curves and a beautiful face with light blue eyes that are complimented all the time. Guys walk by and check her out instantly. She just lays there, never burns, eyes closed, relaxed.
Laying next her in a plain red bikini top and bottoms on a lay back chair as well is Kathryn, but she likes to be called Katie.
She is reading a romance, action filled novel. She is probably the smartest of all five, Even though she doesn't show it. She has light brown hair that waves naturally but she straightens it so it is silky and never tangles. She has light Carmel brown eyes, and fake sparkly pink nails with a plastic bow on the finger next to the thumb. Right hand. She has a innocent, sweet cute looking face with a sweet voice as well.
The girl giggling and making a fool of herself is the small one named Lexi. She is skinny and has a light blue bathing suit on that compliments her vibrant light blue eyes but they barely had her size in the store even though all her friends could fit. She has light blonde hair that she curled and they loosely bounce as she dances crazily even though she dances in a real studio and is really good and talented. She looks like a ballerina with her hair up in a bun. She has a very pretty face that looks young but her height is normal.
The one shaking her head at Lexi but smiling as well sitting on Lexi's light pink towel is Kiki. She has brown caramel skin and straight brown hair. Her dark brown eyes are hidden by her big brown sunglasses that are the same kind as Talia's. She is but short but has a pretty eyes and win guys with her likable personality. She knows how to make herself look good. With her American flag looking swim suit. It isn't cheesy looking, it isn't too revealing, but not childish at all. It is works on her body type. She has her short tight jean shorts on over the bottoms. She has worn out hello kitty flip flops on that show her light blue toes with a jeweled flower on both big toes. Her fingers are French tipped as well as Lexi's.
The girl texting on her new IPhone next to Kiki is Mia. Her dark brown hair is in a cute messy bun with a loose white top that showed half of her stomach that covers her sequenced orange, yellow, and pink swim suit top that's strings are white and look good on her natural tan skin.
Her face is pretty and her green eyes look rare on her face which makes her look even prettier. She has a hint of Japanese in her which gives her the soft skin. She types furiously on her IPhone to her soon to be ex boyfriend.
Holm's creek is a nice town to live in. It has two high school's. One on each side of the town.
These girls are going to Ridgewood field next year as freshmen.
"Gosh Lexi settle down chic" Kiki says giggling.
"Why can't we go in the water?" Lexi says looking at all of them, waiting to cool off in the lake water. Her shoulders sometimes burn and it annoys her, she needs some sunscreen, but she didn't bring any.
"You can" Talia mumbles.
"Alone? What if my top falls off and there is no one there to help me?" she says trying to get somebody to go with her. She doesn't want to look like a loner, but this is so boring.
They all look at each other.
Mia plops her phone on the beach towel and pulls her shirt off.
"Fine. I'll go" Mia says pulling her shorts off as well. Then she kicks her flip flops off as she pulls her shirt off. "But I'm not getting my hair wet this time" she says as she walks to the lake water with Lexi.
"I'm going swimming in a little" Talia says.
Katie and Kiki look over at her. "Swimming, I thought your tan..." Katie mumbles but stops her self going back to her book.
"I'm almost done" Talia says, "No I'm done now. Katie can you tie me up?"
Katie reluctantly folds down the edge of a page in the book and sets it down and ties Talia's bathing suit strings.
"Ok" Katie says leaning back to read the book some more. Talia sits up and takes her sun glasses out and repositions them on her head. "I can't wait for high school" she says crossing her legs on the chair.
"Tell me about it. Even though I'll miss being the top of the food chain in middle school, we're sinking back to the bottom in high school" Kiki says watching Mia and Lexi splash each other. Some older guys, about 16 or 17 walk by as Kiki looks at Talia.
Talia eyes them closely as they look over at them. They nod their heads at the girls Kiki and Talia smile back, Katie keeps reading. As they walk by.
"God. Why can't they just talk to us already, almost every time they come down here they just nod their cute heads at us and walk to those ugly girls over there" Talia says casually.
"Oh come on, don't call them ugly" Kiki says looking over at the guys laughing with the older girls in bathing suits.
"Fine. But we're cuter" Talia says.
"For sure"
"What! I missed them again!" Katie says loudly crawling over Talia to look at them.
"Yeah, didn't you hear us talking about them?" Talia says as Katie lays on Talia's lap gloomy looking.
"There was a good part in the book" Katie says.
"What good part?" Kiki asks.
"A steamy vampire kiss with a human girl" Katie smirks climbing off of Talia. Mia and Lexi trot back quickly, cold and wet.
"Ooh, I heard steamy, kiss, and vampire" Mia says drying herself off.
"Tell us about it Katie, please do tell" Talia says grinning at her as Lexi tries to flick water at Kiki and Kiki squeals.
"Well, this hot vampire boy named Luke..." Katie starts.
"Ooh, Luke is a sexy name" Kiki says.
Katie grins. "And a girl named Chloe. They are of course in love. Long story short. They are seventeen. And even though she wants to become a vampire, she wants to wait and stuff like that. They are now having a steamy kiss, on her... Bed... If you know what I mean" she giggles.
"Let me see the book" Talia says and Katie hands her the book. Talia opens it and mumbles as her eyes shoot back and forth across the book.
"He lays me on the bed and our lips press and his tongue slides in my mouth... Ooh... Hmmm... We pick up pace... he hands find his way to my waist then my shirt is pulled off... Ooh..." she says giggling as Katie snatches it away,
"They don't actually do anything, I haven't read the next part" Katie says.
"Let's go in the water..." Talia says places her sun glasses on her towel. Mia puts her phone in her bag and Kiki stands up as well as Katie.
They all go to the water and splash around.
Of course that was a month ago. It's the end of August now. And what happens this freshman year, changes their whole lives, changes it more then they could of ever imagined.
