Chapter 19
Preston’s POV
I kept chocking, I kept falling, I kept seeing the light, I kept drowning, I really felt that I wanted to just die and never wake up. I knew that I had done this for Lily, she needed to be protected.
Someone is touching my hand; I can feel it, them trailing the lines on my palm. It tickled in a way, however I had tape over my eyes and I had tubes down my throat, which was probably why I kept gagging. If I moved my arm that’d be all the strength in the world right now, and I need to store all of it for a major ass kicking once I’m able to get better.
I’m worried about Lily, her life must suck, she is getting hurt, whoever Boss was needed to be hurt too. I just didn’t know what to do about it. I would tell someone but I can’t.
My stomach aches and all of a sudden it growls loudly.
“Someone’s hungry.” A voice interrupts my thoughts.
“MM…” I try to speak.
“Shh, don’t talk.” A kiss is planted on my cheek.
“Everything will be okay Pres; you’re going to get better. I know it.”
I’m trying to get better voice, I am. I promise.
“I see you making faces, are you talking to yourself in their?”
Well, yes I am voice; I talk to myself a lot. Is that okay?
“I often wonder what people are thinking you know? When you were little I’d talk to you when you were in my belly.” I knew it was Mom.
I often wonder what I’m thinking too, but normally no one does. What a freak you were Mom, and I thought I was crazy. You talked to your belly? Ha-ha!
“I bet you’re laughing at me, but I don’t care. You are the most handsome boy ever.”
I am laughing at you, who wouldn’t. I know I’m handsome; I get all the hot babes.
“Can you try to squeeze my hand? Please baby?” Mom begs.
I can try. I will always try for you Mom. I grab her hand in my shaky one and squeeze it hard but she doesn’t make any noise.
“I knew you were listening.” She whispers and holds my hand.
