.................... J.J went back to the Parris Island and I was throwing to the whole wedding planning craziness with Riley. Mom had resigned herself to the fact J.J. and I were as soon as he got back going to be moving to the apartment and she’d even helped pick out some new things for it, but she was still hesitant over letting him off the hook altogether.
I walked into the coffee shop Riley was sitting waiting at the counter for me.
“I’m sorry I’m late” I hugged her “I had to pick up something” she looked at my bags
“Hmmm Victoria’s secret… really you don’t have enough new underwear for you r Marine” she laughed taking the two coffees and walking over to the table by the window.
“Oh shush” I picked up my coffee “It’s my underwear for under my bridesmaids dress and I had to go pick up your and Flynn’s wedding bands that were ready” I beamed.
“You’ve got them with you” she squeaked I nodded “Can I see them” I reached into my purse pulling out the dark red box and handed it to her she opened the lid and her eyes filled with tears I got up and put my arms round her
“I thought you’d like them” I groaned.
“I do B… they’re perfect” she sniffed running her fingers over the two entwined bands on each of the rings the words ‘in my heart, wherever I am” engraved on them
“They’re not too simple are they” I asked “I can add something to them if you want… well you’re Flynn doesn’t do OTT fussy stuff” I rambled “I ‘m sorry I wanted to make the perfect thing”
“Will you shut up” she punched my arm “I love them” she pulled me into a bear hug “Thank you for making them so… so… Us”
“My pleasure” I sighed with relief “I also made this for you” I handed her another package. She closed the ring box and handed it back to me. she unwrapped a charm hung from a Marine blue ribbon if a miniature set of enamel dog tags with Riley Morgan on one and Flynn Logan on the other with the date of the wedding written under both of the names. “I was kinda hoping it would cover the New and Blue from the saying”
“This is amazing” she stared at the tags “You rock B you know that” she hugged me again. ‘I’m pinning this to my gown”
“See I did more than just a trip to V.S.” I chuckled sitting back down across from her.
“So when does J.J. get in” she said wiping the tears from her eye I looked at my phone
“Anytime now” I grinned “So tonight don’t call me for anything”
“Ahhh the Joys of missing your Marine” she giggled
“He wants to do something for you and Flynn as a sort of wedding gift” She looked at me
“What?”
“Well that I’m not allowed to tell you” I shrugged “you or Flynn but you have to trust J.J.”
“Okay as long as it’s not going to interfere with our wedding night” she winked
“No… I promise it won’t and EW stop reminding me you and my brother have sex” I shuddered
“What you and J.J. do” she laughed
“I know but he’s one hot assed Marine”
“So you only love me for my body” a voice whispered in my ear. I jumped up and into his arms
“Okay get a room please” Riley moaned J.J. put me down and kissed her on the cheek “Welcome Back Cowboy, how’s my Marine doing?”
“Getting ready for his graduation next week” J.J. Said sitting in my seat and pulling me on his lap “How’s the wedding stuff coming along?”
“Pretty much all done” I nodded “Just in time for the Bachelor and bachelorette parties”
“Oh talking of that your Brother wants you there on his bachelor night” J.J. said shaking his head.
“Hey he’s poached her for his best sister thing he can’t have her” Riley snapped
“Hey don’t shoot the messenger” J.J. held up his hands.
“I think you should have it together” I suggested “everyone goes out and has a blast”
“Now you have a point with that” Riley nodded
“Okay… I haven’t seen my girlfriend for two weeks so Riley if you’ll excuse us we have a new apartment to go…”
“Christen” I nibbled his jaw.
“Okay horny Bridesmaid alert” Riley got to her feet “Oh first She crouched down by J.J. “Okay Cowboy B told me you have something planned for my wedding but if it interferes with getting my Marine out of his dress blues” J.J. started to laugh
“I promise you it’ll help him out immensely if it has the same effect on his that it has on his sister” I started to laugh
“Okay now I’m more worried than I was” she grumbled standing up “I love you” she hugged my “Thanks for my gift and the bands”
“You’re welcome and I’ll call you later” she nodded and walked out with her coffee. “So Sgt Tanner what do you have planned”
“Well… I think we ned to go to the apartment and see what happens after that Miss Richardson” He patted my ass as I stood up…………….
………………. J.J. walked into the living room and out onto the balcony we had.
“Happy” I asked looking at him
“Oh yeah” he handed me his phone “You want to go to Texas after the wedding…? My Dad’s turning 50”
“You never said”
“Yeah well he normally doesn’t bother celebrating but this time My brother took charge and wants to have a blow out”
“Sounds like fun” I nodded “And I get to have my Marine between my legs again” I giggled.
“I’m going to kill my brother for calling your horse Marine” he shook his head as I walked by him.
“I wasn’t talking about the horse” I called over my shoulder…………………
