“Thanks for that” I said.
“You’re welcome” he nodded handing me a folded napkin “That’s for you” he winked. I opened it and read what he’d written

(unless I’m on the football field).
“Wow that’s not something I’ve heard for a long time” Matt said quietly the others looked at him.
“What isn’t” Luke said taking the plates from him.
“I offered her a hug” Drew shrugged “and she told me she was to sore so I gave her a rain check for one instead”.
“Nice one” smiled putting her hand on Drew’s arm do you do that for all girls.
“You want to eat in here or in the living room” I said looking at Matt.
“Living room we can watch T.V. and eat by the fire” he said handing me the bags of food the others followed me into the living room I put the food out on to the table I sat on the chair Matt handed me a plate of food. “Eat okay”.
“I don’t know” I said.
“Okay I think I said it wrong it wasn’t a question” she smirked “We’ve missed you at the games even if you’re not going to be cheering it doesn’t mean you can’t sit on the bleachers”.
“We’ll see” I nodded “Excuse me a minute” I got up putting my plate on the table and went to the bathroom, It was only a slight knock Bryony had given my leg but it was throbbing I ran the cold water and put a towel under it making it icy I pulled down my P.J. bottoms and wrung out most of the water before putting it on my leg to take the stinging away………………………….
“You want us to go make sure she’s okay” Maggie said putting her plate down and getting up Matt sighed and nodded. Bryony and Maggie got up and walked to the bathroom Luke put his hand on Matt’s shoulder.
“There’s more to it isn’t there”.
“We won’t” Drew said looking at Matt.
The bathroom door knocked.
“How do you get bruises like that” Maggie said in a hushed voice.
“I… I pissed off a guy” I said looking down at the marks.
“He did it ripping off my things before he….” I stopped Maggie crouched down in front of me and held my hands.
“What did he do Autumn” She asked.
“Was that the drugs” Maggie said, I nodded.

“Only Matt and you two now and I don’t know why I told you” I looked at them.
“We screwed up not coming to make sure you were ok after the accident” Maggie sighed “But your Dad told us that the doctors said that you needed to come to terms with it for yourself and not to burden other people with it”.
“He said he slept in the chair in your room all night because he was worried about you” Bryony said.
“I didn’t know that” I smiled.
“If you can deal with me not being as bubbly as I used to be” I shrugged.
“You’llget back to being Autumn” Bryony smiled “We’ll help with that” I took the towel from my leg and dried it off noticing the cringing looks from Bryony and Maggie as I pulled up my P.J.’s.
“We won’t say anything” Bryony nodded we went back into the livingroom where the guys were watching some horror movie matt looked at me and came over.
“You okay” he asked.
“And the club” he questioned.
“No that not yet” I shrugged.
“I remember” I sighed “but wasn’t it just so you could hit on a girl” Luke groaned as the others laughed.
“See she remembers to well” Matt laughed.
