........................ “You remember meeting my Aunt Cassie” Drew said as we started to eat.

“Yeah she was the one that told your Dad to pull his head from his ass” I laughed “I liked her”.

“Yeah she’s my Dad’s little sister and has his temper” Drew smirked. “I was talking to her yesterday when you girls went to get lunch”.

“She called you”

“Yeah she and Uncle Joe had been talking since… well since you and Dad got into it” He said “They own about 6 houses in Florida where they live”.

“Nice” I sighed.

‘Yeah they rent out the houses for vacation homes”

“And why are you telling me this are we going on vacation again” I laughed.

“No... well yes… maybe” he said putting down his silverware “No…they’ve said we can have one of the houses rent free so I can go to college down there and you can either work or go to college as well”.

“Are you being serious” I smiled, he nodded.

“I’ve been offered a football scholarship down there and I can still do the engineering course I wanted as well” he said the grin breaking out across his face, “I know you’re grades are good even after what happened you should be able to get in to school as well”

“I don’t have a college fund, you know Dad used the money in my fund to cover my medical bills” I looked out to the ocean “I guess I can get a job down there and maybe look at college next year”.

“Exactly” Drew took my hand again across the table “So you think you could cope living in Florida 3 miles from the beach”.

“I hadn’t expected to move somewhere like that but Hell yeah” I laughed “I can’t believe they’d actually do this for us”.

“Yeah well they are the richer side of the family Joe owns a construction company and he does really well so they brought some houses by the beach and in Orlando so they get money rolling in from them apparently they own them out right no mortgages either so that’s why they said we can live rent free” he said as we went back to eating dinner “And she took to you as soon as she met you but then again so did I”.

“I love you” I said sitting back and looking at him. “So when do we get to leave”.

“As soon as we can after graduation, I know Mom’s planning a big party for me the weekend after so any tie after that” he said as the waiter brought the dessert a huge bowl with fruit andice cream he put it down between us Drew picked up a spoonful and held it out to me I took it. “So you think you’re going to like living with me”.

“Oh yeah waking up snuggled in bed with you everyday” I nodded “not having to deal with crap from home, that I can handle, it’s a whole new stat for me and for us away from bad memories and peoples judgments, How are you going to handle going to school and getting hit on by hot college girls who just want to be with one of the football players” I teased running my foot up his leg under the table he shook his head smiling and caught my foot in his hand.

“That’s going to be easy when I’m going to be living with the hottest girl down there and if I do get hit on thenthey will find out that I am head over heels in love with you” he smiled “Who turns me on just by looking at her”.

“You know the right things to say don’t you” I laughed as he started to run his hand up my leg.

“Yeah” he laughed “You want to go for a walk down the beachbefore we go join the others” he asked as we got up to leave.

“Sure” I nodded. We walked down to the sand I fetched off my sandals drew took my hand we walked and talked Drew stopped as we got to the steps that led back to the bars and the clubs the sound of the music already flooding the air.

“I got you something today” he said facing me.

“As long as it’s not a straw donkey we’ll be good” I laughed he pouted and looked down “Oh you didn’t” I said putting my hand over my mouth. He looked at me and smiled.

“No I didn’t B was trying to get me to put I held back” he teased he reached into his pocket and pulled out a little red silk pouch and handed it to me. “It’s not anything fancy or expensive or diamonds or anything like that but I thought of you as soon as I saw it” I opened the bag and tipped out what was inside it into my open palm. The was a small sliver ring in the shape of a dragon fly.

alt

“It’s so pretty” I said picking it up and trying it on my fingers to find the one that it fitted on, it ended up being the middle finger of my right hand Drew looked a little disappointed “I love it” I looked at Drew “Thank you”

‘You’re welcome” he said pulling me to him and hugging me “I was hoping it might have fit on a different finger” He said was we climbed the steps and stopped so I could put my shoes back on, I stood up and looked at him.

“Which one” I asked tippingmy heads to the sid

“This one” he said lifting my left hand and kissing my ring finger “but I guess that will wait for a while”.

“You mean you wanted to…” I was cut off by a loud whistle as Luke and Matt came running down the street.

“Like I said that can wait for a short while” Drew said in my ear……………………………………..
