………………………. “Lets go find somewhere else to eat” Matt said pulling Drew away before he could start again. B grabbed my hand and took me outside,
“Nice punch” B said putting her arm round my shoulders as I leaned on the hood of my car Drew walked out with Matt.
“You okay” he smiled kissing me.
“I’m fine” I nodded. “My hand hurts a bit” he lifted my hand.
“Can you move it” Drew asked wiggling my fingers for m e.
“Yeah they’re not broken” I shrugged as we got in the car, we found another restaurant and all went in for dinner.
“Okay so what have you got sorted for Joes wedding” B said as we started to eat.
“I’ve got a couple places in mind for it” I said looking at her “but before I can book anything I have to find out the schedule of a certain football player” I grinned.
“Mine why” Drew asked his burger half way to his mouth.
“Because like Joe said he doesn’t want you to miss any games for the wedding” I smiled.
“I‘ll have that on Monday” Drew shrugged taking a bite from his food.
“Good then I can really start working harder”
“Anything else sorted” B said sitting back in her seat.
“I have the flowers, you want to go with me and check out the cakes” I laughed.
“Can’t we all do that” Drew said nudging Matt.
“As long as you can do it 3 pm on Tuesday” I nodded.
“What about a dress for her” Matt asked.
“Leah’s got that one handled” I said picking up my drink. “I do need you guys to go do one thing for me”
“As long as it’s nothing to do with frilly stuff” Matt pulled a face.
“It’s not I need you to pick a new wedding band for Cassie”.
“Oh Drew can do that you have to admit he has practice at it” Matt lifted my left hand and pointed to my engagement ring.
………… We we’re all so busy the next couple of weeks Drew had training every day. I was busy with helping Cassie and Leah sort out Leah and Trent’s wedding and trying to get some of the surprise wedding sorted out when Cassie wasn’t around.
“I’m going to miss you” Drew said as he lay on the bed.
“I’m away for one night and so are you and I dread to think where the hell you guys will end up tonight” I smirked as I walked out of the closet and put Leah’s gown on the bed.
“I’ll be a good boy you know that” he grinned “and I don’t think we’ll be going all out at a strip club or anything”.
“I hope not” I said coming out of the closet again with the other dresses.
“The only stripper I want is you” he pulled me down on the bed on his lap.
“Oh I’m a stripper now” I said swatting him.
“Only for me” he said starting to undo the buttons on the front of my shirt.
“Hey I have to leave I have to go and take the payment for hotel for Joes surprise and I have take in the flower order for that day as well”.
“So everything’s going really well for it then” drew said tugging off my shirt.
“It won’t be if I don’t get the deposits down” I laughed.
“You going to be this eager to do things when it’s our wedding” he smiled letting me get up and put my shirt back on.
‘Oh yeah” I nodded fastening the buttons “I’m using this as a practice” I walked in to the bathroom Drew followed me and sat on the vanity.
“So you’re planning it as if it was ours” he laughed.
“Joe told me to do what I wanted and not tell him because he can’t lie to save his life” I shrugged “So I’ve done what I thought we’d like”.
“Nice” Drew said looking at me “Do we get to have a practice of the wedding night”.
“I don’t think you need the practice” I said standing between his legs and kissing him “but I have already booked us a room for that night”
“So what date is it?”
“September 25th and the wedding is at 4 on the beach”
“So we have a wedding tomorrow and one in” he paused and thought for a minute “5 weeks”.
“It was all down to when you had time off” I said putting my arms round his neck “Joe wanted you to be there”.
“Well what do you expect” Drew smirked kissing the tip of my nose “I’m there favorite nephew”
“Come with me and see if you think they will like the place”.
“Okay” he nodded “I’ll take the dresses out to the car for you”.
“Thanks” he walked out of the bathroom as I finished packing my bag…………………………..
…..We pulled up at one of the hotels at the far end of town which had its own stretch of beach and got out Drew reached for my hand linking his fingers with mine, we made our way inside you could see right from the front door all the way through to the view of the ocean.
“I think you picked the perfect place for it” he said squeezing my hand as the event manager walked over to me.
“Hi Autumn” she smiled “I have the last of the paper work for you to fill out”.
“Okay I have the check for you guys as well oh this is Drew he’s Cassie’s nephew”. I said introducing them. “This is Lila”
“So are you helping keep the surprise from your Aunt” She said as we followed her to the office.
“I’m keeping my head down so I don’t blow it” he smiled.
“You’re the football player aren’t you” Lila asked as she handed me the paper work. “You’re Aunt talks about you a lot”.
“I’m trying to balance school work and football” he sighed “and then a whole load of family weddings it’s getting harder to do”.
“Jeez all you have to do is show up for the weddings” I smiled “and they’ve been put round you’re schedule”.
“Oh we have the beach set up for a wedding tomorrow if you guys want to go and see how it looks” Lila said as I handed her back the forms.
“Sure we have 5 minutes to spare” I laughed getting up “I’ll come in next week with the details for the flowers and the tables”.
“That’s fine” Lila nodded we got up and walked out through the back of the hotel and on to the patio which sloped gently down to the beach.
“So no one will be wearing shoes for the wedding” Drew grinned.
“Not for the ceremony” I smiled shaking my head and pointing to where there was chairs set up facing the ocean with a gazebo decorated all in white and red roses ready for the wedding they we’re holding. “everything is pretty much like this for Joe and Cassie apart from the flowers are cream and red and there isn’t half as many as that”.
“A girl not having tons of flowers” he said putting both his hands on each side of his face teasing me.
“No it’s going to look more elegant then let’s see how many roses we can get on here before we make the roof give in” I laughed.
“Nice” he nodded the pictures are going to be really good with the ocean for the back drop”.
“Yeah that’s what I thought” I nodded as we turned and walked back through the hotel “I do need you to do one more thing for me we need to get Joe and you guys something good to wear”.
“I’ll help with that” Drew said opening the car door for me to get in. “We can go after next weeks game because you’re all coming aren’t you and Trent and Leah get back from honeymoon on Friday”.
“Of course we’ll be there it’s your first game” I kissed him “So you think they be happy”.
“I think they’ll love it” he nodded as we pulled away…………………………..
