…………………………. I finished getting my make up done Becca and Cassie walked in to the room.
“We’re going to go down stairs to make sure everything is set” Cassie smiled I nodded “you have 20 minutes before the ceremony”.
“Leah Maggie are waiting to help you with your dress” Becca said squeezing my hands “And B has gone to get the flowers from the fridges down stairs”. I took a deep breath “You ready to marry my son”.
“Oh yeah” I nodded “are you ready for a daughter-in-law like me”.
“Oh yeah she laughed they both kissed me on the cheek and walked out. Leah and Maggie walked in.
‘You ready to get in your dress” Leah said walking in to the bathroom and fetching it down from the rail.
“I think so” I smiled I pulled off the robe and stepped carefully into the dress as they held it open for me to get in Leah zipped it up I looked in the mirror on the door.
“You look awesome” Maggie smiled standing behind me and fastening the necklace as I put in the earrings.
“I’m loving this dress more than ever” I said bending and putting on my shoes “I’m standing here in my wedding dress this is crazy”
“Looking good” B said walking in the room with my bouquet and putting it on the dresser I just saw your future husband” she stopped “Wow how weird does that sound” she laughed, I held out my hand “I take it you’re nervous”.
“How does he look” Maggie asked.
“They all look ready for a wedding on the beach” She said smiling “we’d better get down stairs and send Matt up” the three of them hugged me before they walked out, I picked up the cream and red bouquet and ran my fingers over the petals as the door opened and Matt walked in he stopped and smiled.
“So you can look really good” he laughed.
“Oh gee thanks” I smiled.
“No you look so good” he said walking over and hugging me “You ready for this”.
“Everyone keeps asking me that” I smiled as we started to walk out of the room “If I wasn’t ready I would have run out of here as fast as I could”. We walked down in to the lobby Lila was waiting.
“You mad with me” she laughed.
“You were in on the whole thing” I smiled.
“Oh yeah Cassie called me and told me all about it” she shrugged “You have a lot of people who think the world of you and Drew actually made the paper for his game performances and the fact he’s marrying his high school sweetheart today” she handed me the paper showing a picture of Drew holding a football. Matt started laughing.
“Wow he’s played 6 games for them and they’re already calling him the next big thing” Matt whistled reading it.
‘”Hey I just want to go marry him” I said taking the paper form Matt and putting it on the table Lila and Matt both started to laugh.
“Okay I’ll go and make sure every ones out there and ready” Lila smiled as she walked away Matt offered me his arm as we made our way to the doors I looked out and could see everyone sitting on the chairs and talking the gazebo looks so pretty then I saw Drew standing laughing with Trent. Lila walked over to them……………….
………………… “Okay you ready she asked Drew” he nodded “Good because Autumn is just the other side of those doors” She pointed back to the hotel. Drew took a deep breath.
“I’m good” she smiled as Trent patted him on the back, Lila turned and walked back towards the hotel.
“I can’t believe you’re doing this” Trent grinned “or how you pulled it off”.
“I know but I know she’s the only girl I want to be with” Drew shrugged…………………….
…………………………….. Lila opened the door and nodded with a smile Matt squeezed my arm as I took off my shoes and handed them to Lila.
“Come on” we both stepped out in to the warm sunshine a few wispy clouds drifted slowly across the sky the ocean breeze blew the scent from the roses towards us I closed my eyes and breathed in. I opened my eyes. “They’ll be watching you know that”.
“I hope so” we walked down on to the beach I looked up as Drew and Trent stepped forward, Drew smiled and winked at me as I walked down with Matt, I didn’t take my eyes off of him for one second we got to him. Matt kissed my cheek as he handed Drew my hand.
“Hey You” he sighed “Thank you”
“You’ve blown me away” I smiled as I handed B my flowers.
“We have come here today to celebrate with Drew and Autumn as they begin a new life together” the minister said. “Drew will you have Autumn to be your wife love her and protect her and be there when she needs you”
“I will” Drew smiled squeezing my hands
“Autumn will you have Drew to be your husband love him and stand by him when he needs you”
“I will” I nodded.
“Drew has vows he’s written for himself” the minister stepped back a little.
“Autumn since the day I saw you I knew you were going to be the biggest thing in my life, I swear to you I will stop at nothing to make you happy, I promise you that whatever life throws at us we will handle and we will make it through all the rough times. I love you and you are definatly the woman behind the man”
Drew took the ring from Trent’s hand and slid it on to my finger a white gold band that matched my engagement ring set with a ring of small diamonds.
“As you all know this was something of a surprise for me so I guess I’m just going to have to go and say what I feel” I laughed. “Drew you have made my life real again, you have stood by me when most people wouldn’t have, you believed I was better than I thought I was, and you make me feel safe, these are the reasons for my knowing that marrying you is the best choice I can make I love you and I’ll always love and support you”.
Trent leaned forward and held out his hand in it was the ring I had brought for Drew for his graduation gift I picked it up and looked at Drew.
“That ring has always felt right on that finger I knew that was going to be my wedding band” I smiled and pushed it on to his finger.
“I’m happy to now pronounce you husband and wife” the minister smiled “Drew you can now kiss your bride” Drew pulled me to him and kissed me dipping me to a round of applause from everyone behind us. “Ladies and gentlemen I give you Mr. and Mrs. Drew and Autumn Donovan”………………………………..
