Black Roses, Silver Thorns Prologue

I opened my eyes and looked around me. I was lying on a couch in a familiar house. I smiled and saw I was laying on Kataro who was wide awake. He filled me in on what happened after I blacked out. He said that I had been lifted into a Technicolor cloud a Vampire and came back a Human. He said my hair was auburn and my eyes were still purple. My hand automatically went up to my head. I made a mental note to check on that. I still had once question for him.

“Why did you give up your life to make sure I would stay safe?” Kataro looked at me with softness showing in his eyes.

“I did it because we have something special dream or no dream,” I looked into his eyes and kissed him.It wasn’t the first but I had a feeling it would never ever be the last. I heard footsteps walk into the room. Kataro and I broke away from each other

“Hey she’s alive,” Angel exclaimed as she wrapped her arms around me in a friendly hug.

“Woo! Cute new girl is alive!” Cameron chuckled as Angel playfully glared at him.

“Of course I’m alive,” I turned to Kataro, “We all are.”

“Yay we’re all alive. Let’s have a bar mitzvah or something!”

“Cameron we’re not Jewish,” Angel pointed out.

“Oh right,” Cameron’s face fell but then it lit back up, “Now Kataro isn’t there something you want to say to Kairi?” Cameron asked. Angel elbowed him in the side.

“I’m sorry.I am greatfulyou brought me back to life. Angel told me what you did while Camereon talked about having a fiesta. I just hope you know thatI-I love you Kairi Rosella Robinson I just wish that you would-“I kissed him. I didn’t want him to finish the sentence. I knew my answer last year and I still knew it now. I put everything I was feeling into the kiss. When we broke apart I put a finger to his lips so I could speak.

“I forgive you. I guess I would have freaked out if you were one. I already figured you were a Werewolf. Kataro Jeremy Ishiyama I love you and I will for a very long time. Thank you for coming back for me. All of you,” I turned to face Angel and Cameron. Then, what do you know, my phone rang. I picked it out of my pocket. It was James.

“Hello?” I said into the phone.

“Kairi thank god you answered. Are you alright? What happened? Are you still a Vampire? Daniel just told us what happened,” I filled James in. I told him as much as I knew.

“How is Noah and Lily taking it?” I asked him.

“Let’s just say, I am the only one speaking to you right now. I’m glad you aren’t married to Daniel. No matter what the rest of the family says, you are my sister and I will always support what you do. I got to go. Call me later on,” James and I said goodbye and I hung up. I looked at Kataro and smiled.

“We just wanted to see if Kairi was okay. We got to go,” Angel and Cameron hurried out of the house. It was alright. I had the boy of my dreams with me. He was in love with me for who I was and I loved him for that very same reason.
