Scared To Death

Chapter 10

Oh my God. What am I going to do. I read the test and it said that I was pregnant. I knew for sure now that Jack would leave me. I started to dry sob. I couldn’t be pregnant. It isn’t right. I slowly sat up when I heard Jack’s footsteps. I quickly threw the tests out the window. I would pick them up later.

“Selene?” Jack called.

“Uhh, just a second.” I yelled back. My voice still shaky.

“Is something the matter?” he asked. I heard him walk to the bathroom door.

“I don’t know,” I whispered. I heard him turn the door handle. He slowly walked in and looked at me.

“What’s wrong?” he asked as he took me into my arms. I didn’t wrap my arms around him. “Ok, now I know something is wrong,” he whispered and pulled me back arms length.

“I’m afraid to tell you,” I whispered.

“You don’t have to be afraid.” he said, and starred into my eyes.

“I don’t want you to leave me,” I whispered barley so he could hear.

“I could never leave you!” he exclaimed.

“Not after you hear this,” I said louder. I moved out of arms length. His face had hurt going threw it.

“You know you can trust me,” he whispered.

“I…uhh…” I struggled for words.

“Just spit it out!” he said jokingly and he smiled.

“I’m…uhh…I don’t know how to say this…” I was still struggling.

“You can tell me anything,” he repeated.

I nodded my head and took a deep breathe. Getting ready for all the yelling.

“I’m pregnant.” I whispered. I didn’t even look at his face. But I knew it had to have anger going across it. “I’m sorry.” I said and then I ran out of the bathroom. I quickly ran down the stairs avoiding stares. I quickly threw the door open and ran outside. I kept running but I kept hearing loud vicious growls behind me. I kept running until I was out of breath. I stopped and fell the my knees and I sobbed. I can’t believe this was happening to me. I didn’t know vampires could get pregnant.

I sighed, shaking. I slowly stood up but my knees kept shaking under me and I kept falling. But I finally got my balance and I started to walk back. I stumbled and fell. I kept walking and I finally got there. I looked around the house and the trees were broke.

Jack,
“I’m going to kill that lying bastard.” I heard Jack say.
“Don’t jump to conclusions.” Damien said.
“Why not?! It’s obviously not mine!” he yelled.
“Jack,” I assumed Rose said.
“What?!” he screamed at her.
“She thinks your cheating on her.” I heard her whisper. And then I started to walk up the stairs. I heard there talking quiet down as I walked into the room. I looked down at the floor trying to avoid there stares. I slowly started to slid down the wall, still not looking in there eyes. When I hit the ground I started to dry sob. I heard no one move around me.
“I’ll just leave, if you don’t want me here anymore.” I whispered. I heard someone gasp but I just ignored it. I slowly started to get up but when I did I fell and I felt two arms go around my waist.
“What happens if we don’t want you to leave?” Jack whispered into my ear.
“I…” I said. I finally looked at all of them and they were starring at me. I felt Jack’s arm release me and he moved away. I kept starring at them.
“Selene,” I heard Ember say.
“Yes?” I asked looking at her.
“What are you going to do?” she asked.
“I…don’t know.”
“Do you want to keep it?” she asked. I didn’t know how to answer that. Of course I wanted to keep it, but what about Jack. Will he not want me to keep the baby since its not his? I wondered in my head.
“Can I talk to Jack privately?” I asked. And they all nodded and walked outside the room. I walked over to the door and closed it. I sighed and then turned to him.
“Do you want me to keep it?” I whispered.
“I…I don’t know.” he said. “Do you know of the dangers that will happen if Lucifer finds out its his?”
“Of course I do.” I said. “But do you really want to waste a babies life just because it isn’t yours?” I questioned.
“Of course not!”
“Then let me keep it.” I said.
“You have to know the dangers though.” he said.
“Yes,” I said and then walked over to him. I took his hands in mine. “But we can get threw them.” I then whispered. He avoided my eyes. I sighed. He then slowly looked into my eyes.
“I would never cheat on you, you should know that.” he said all of a sudden. I instantly let go of his hands.
“Please don’t bring that up.” I said and walked away and sat on the bed. I put my head in my hands.
“Why not?” he said. “You’re the one that thinks I’m cheating.”
“I never said that.” I lied.
“Yes you did. I can tell from your face. And Rose told me.”
“I don’t believe that you cheated on me. It’s just I got so mad at Kara that I…I just don’t know.”
“You can believe me.” he said and then I felt him down by my feet. I opened my eyes and he was inches from my face. I starred at him wide-eyed.
“I do,” I said. I then smashed my lips to his. He quickly responded wrapping his arms around my waist. I wrapped my arms around his neck. He slowly picked me up and laid me on the bed. He started to kiss my neck. I smiled. When he reached for the bottom of my shirt our door flew open. It was Rose.
“Argh! Rose!” Jack yelled, and I laughed.
“Come on! Come on!” she yelled.
“What?” I asked pushing Jack off of me.
“We need to go shopping.” she said and walked over to me.
“What? Why?” I asked.
“Baby clothes. You need maternity clothes. And we need to buy furniture and everything!” she yelled.
“Can’t we do that later?” Jack asked annoyed. I smiled. “We were kind of in the middle of something.” I smiled even bigger.
“You can do that later!” Rose yelled and ran up to me and grabbed my hand.
“Ugh!” I yelled as she pulled me by my hand, and out the door.
She is SO getting payback for this.
I sighed. I slowly walked into the house, and looked around to see if anybody was around, but they weren’t but I could hear them upstairs.
