Chapter 5

The entire way to the cabin all I could think about was what the woman at the tool booth had said. I think everyone else was feeling the same way. " What do you think she meant? " Khloe asked. " I don't know, maybe they have been having robbery problems. " Jace offered. " I don't think it's that simple. " I muttered. " Maybe we should stay at the lake house. " said Trey. " Yeah I guess it's better to be safe than sorry. " I agreed, " Will you call grandpa and make sure everything is turned on and running. " Sure. " Trey replied as he opened his phone. Our grandparents were both lawyers before they retired, my grandfather also knew how to invest money well so they were in good standings when it came to money. When Khloe and I were born they decided to built a lake house for us to go to with them. It was about a mile from the bay, on a private lake. When we were about 10 miles from the turn off to get to the house my fuel light popped on. I turned into a gas station and pilled up to a pump. Kyle got out and started to pump the gas. Khloe, Trey and I went into the store to pay. We got some stuff for dinner, and decided we would go to the real grocery store tomorrow. When we were at the counter paying, two men walked in. As they walked by I felt the hairs on my neck stand up. They were tall with dark glasses on,they werevery mysterious and scary. Trey could probably since my beinguneasy, and hurried up and led us back out to the car. Once we were all seated and I was back on the road I felt a little better. " Did you guys see those creeps? " Jace asked. " Yeah they freaked the hell out of me. " I replied. Kyle rubbed my hand and it made me feel better.

We finally made it to the turn off. The driveway to the house was long, it curved this way and that. I came around the last curve and the house came into view. Kyle and Jace gawked as I pulled up to the front door." I know you guys wanted to rough it, but this will have to do. "Trey laughed.I flipped off the engine and hopped out. I walked over to the garage and put the code into the key pad. As the door rose I heard Kyle and Jace walk up next to me. Once they were all the way up I heard Jace gasp. Sitting inside the garage were 4 quads, 4 skidoos, and a couple of dirt bikes. After Jace was done drooling over all of our outdoor stuff we unloaded the car. Seeing as we weren't going camping anymore I pulled all of the camping gear out of the car and threw it into the garage. I headed into the house to join everyone else. Khloe headed to her room, and Jace followed Trey to go to theirs.

Kyle followed me upstairs.I led him down the hallway to the last door on the left. I opened the door and he followed me inside. " Here you go. " I said. " This is really nice. " he smiled. " Where is your room? " " oh, over here. " I said as I headed across the hall. My room was the second largest in the house. Khloe wanted the room with the skylight and Trey wanted the one downstairs so I got this one. The wall facing the lake was all windows. It made the room feelevenbigger than it was. To the right was my canopy bed and beyond that was my black couch and chairs. My room was everything I wanted and more. My grandma spoiled us. We could have anything we wanted in our room. I walked over to my closet and dropped my bag. " Wow, that a big bed. " exclaimed Kyle. " Yeah, it's a California King. " I said with a smile. " My room at home was too small for one so my grandma bought me one for up here." I went into the bathroom to freshen up. My bathroom was even better than my room. I had one of those raining showers, and a Jacuzzi tub. Once I was done I went back out into my room. I found Kyle laying on my bed looking up at the ceiling. I flopped down next to him. He wrapped his arms around me and pulled me close to him. " If my grandparents had a place like this I would be up here every chance I got. " he sighed. I laughed. " So are we an item now? " he asked. " If you want to be. " I teased. We laid and talked for a while.

" Do you want me to show you the rest of the house? " I questioned. " That would be wonderful. " He replied. We sat up and I led him out of the room. I showed him the rest of the up stairs, and then we headed down to the first level. We walked through the kitchen, the dinning room, and then to the living room. I could hear the ping pong table downstairs, so I grabbed Kyle's hand and led him to the stairs. Trey and Jace were playing ping pong and Khloe was sitting on the couch reading a magazine. " So anyone up for a bonfire? " I asked. " Yeah that sounds fun! " Trey said. Khloe and I headed upstairs to get our bathing suits. I ripped the tags off of my suite and went onto the bathroom to change. Once I had it on I checked myself in the mirror. I was happy with my body. The suite hugged my curves in all the right places. I went back out to the room and put on my cover up. Khloe grabbed some towels and we headed down to the kitchen. " Jace, Kyle do you want to help me get the skidoos down to the water? " I asked. They followed me out to the garage. I hooked the trailers to the quads. " Jace I know how much you want to ride one of these, so why don't you take that one down. " I urged. He hopped on and pulled out of the garage. I got on to my quad and Kyle got on behind me. He wrapped his arms around my waist. I started the quad and followed Jace out to the path next to the house.

The path was steep so as we went down Kyle's grip around my waist tightened. The trailer squeaked as the path leveled out. When we got down the the water Kyle got off and I backed the trailer into the water. We unhooked the skidoos and pulled them into the water. Once they were off, Kyle got on the other quad and followed me up to the garage. He pulled his quad into the garage and shut it off. I unhooked the trailer from mine, and waited for himto put the keys back. He came over to me and stopped. " I think it's your turn to ride shotgun. " he smirked. " Fair enough. " I laughed. I slid back and Kyle go on in front of me. i wrapped my arms around his torso, and we headed back down to the lake. Trey had started a fire when we got down. I kicked off my flip flops by where Khloe was sitting and walked down to the water.

It was warm, it felt good against my feet. Kyle walked up next to me and pulled off his T-shirt. I couldn't help but glance over at him. He had washboard abs and a killer tan. I looked away , but I pretty sure he noticed because he smiled. I pulled off my cover up and walked out to my skidoo. I could feel his eyes scanning me. I was ok with that, the suite was doing it's job. I jumped on and started the engine. Kyle got onto the one next to me. We pulled away from the shore and out onto the lake. We went back and forth playing follow the leader. We slowed down and idled for a while. Talking with Kyle was amazing, he was a great listener. We both took turns stealing peaks at each other. His body was to die for, I am really lucky to have him all to my self.

All of a sudden I could see a small fishing boat across the water. I suddenly felt a cold shiver go up my spine. All I could see where two dark figures, and by the looks of it I had seen these figures before. It was the two men from the store. Kyle followed my gaze. " I wonder what there doing here. " he said. " I don't know but this lake only has a couple of other houses on it, and they don't live in them. " I whispered. Kyle started toturn away and I followed him. I glanced back at the two men, but they were gone. I hoped that that would be the last time I would have to see them, but little did I know our paths would cross again in the near future.
