“So tell me where it started.” The boy asked. He was dressed in all black and had a wooden sword in one hand. He was taller than me and had green eyes. I sighed and brushed my black hair out of my eyes.
“I was walking home from school, along the side of the road. For some reason I felt like passing my house and I walked straight to the forest. I walked in really deep where the trees are like mountains. I set my bag down and climbed on to a branch, admiring the view and nature. I felt as if something was watching me, but who doesn’t feel like that when they are alone in the middle of the forest? Anyways, I heard a rustle behind me and I turned to see a pale boy, he had black hair and black eyes, pale skin and the weird thing was his teeth. They were long and stained red. I was shocked to see him so I didn’t think much of it.” I had a hard time saying it because the memory felt so real. “He said my name and then something in a different language. Italian maybe, Greek? I can’t be sure. He approached me and I backed away. Suddenly he was behind me again and something sent my brain in to a mode where I couldn’t think or move. He was suddenly right in front of me and he opened his mouth. I could see his fangs. My entire world shifted. I had no idea he existed I just couldn’t process it, at all. I mean it just wasn’t real, it must have been a dream...” I said breaking off in to near hysterics. It hurt just thinking of it. It was so real, like a movie playing in yourmind over and over and there is no stop button. This boy, whom I barely knew, already knew more about it, or me,than anyone elsebesides me did. After I had calmed down he let go of me. Somewhere in the middle of my fit, he had put an empathetic arm around me then let go.
“He brushed my hair away from shoulder and he looked so hungry. He bent in as if to whisper in my ear and all I remember is pain and blackness. I woke up in the woods, alone, hungry and weak. I couldn’t move at all.” I was looking this boy in the eye all the time. I knew I could trust him. He had found me after all.
“So, you think you were attacked by a vampire?” He asked me, disbelief clear in his eyes. I glared at him and held my head up high.
“I don’t think I was attacked by a vampire, I know I was.” I told him boldly. He turned on his heal, grabbed something and turned back to me. He walked so that he was about a foot away from me. He smiled a huge smile, showing his perfectly white teeth.
“Welcome to the team.” He said as he handed me a wooden sword.
