Chapter 1

As I pulled into my brothers driveway memories flashed back from when we were little kids. This house was my mom's but when she passed away she gave it to my brother. I remember that the house was cozy it had 2 rooms and 2 baths. One bathroom was connected to my room the other was in the hallways leading to the laundry room. The laundry room was right when you walked in then there was a little hallway you would go through and the bathroom was the first door to the left. After you walked into the hallway there was a huge kitchen and off the kitchen was the dining room and living room then if you turned left there was a door that opened up to a set of stairs. Once you went down the staircase you were in the family room and right when you walked in there was a door visible on the left wall that lead to the basement. The basement…my brother and I use to play basketball down there in the winter but when I got to old to play silly games with it he used It for his band. If you go way upstairs there is another hall and to the right is my room to the left is my brothers. My parents use to use the Family room as there bed room.

I got out of my car and walked inside. It's been so many years. I heard ruckus coming from the family room so I silently walked down there. My brother and his 6 friends were lying all over the floor watching a football game. The remote was sitting on the back of the couch I grabbed it and turned off the TV then hid behind the couch.

"What the fuck! Turn it back on!!" I heard one of them yell.

"I can't find the remote." My brother grunted.

I jumped up from behind the couch swinging the remote.

"Looking for this?" I said dangling it in the air.

"JANE!!!!!!" All 7 boys said in unison.

Next thing I knew I was on the floor with 7 boys on top of me all talking at once. I cracked up laughing. They all looked at me and started tickling me. It was obvious they forgot about their game. I started laughing when I noticed Derek starring at me smiling like a dork. He grabbed my long black wavy hair in his hand then put it down and smiled.

"You need a tan Jane." Derek said.

"You need a life Derek." I smiled.

I looked at all 7 of the boys let's see here how many of them do I remember. Well there was Derek the dorky jock who was over protective but also my dearest brother. There was Jake the shy innocent dumbass. Hmm and there's Luke the loud obnoxious funny over sensitive faggot. Then there's Jared the jack ass I want to kick in the balls half the time who thinks he's Mr. Perfect for everyone. Then there's Austin the smart, funny, nice, and talkative but easily irritated fag. I looked at the two boys left and realized that there was Gabe the flirty player who never really gets any. Then last but not least there was Braden the not so bright jock who loved being the center of attention.

"Hey Derek?" I asked.

"What is it Jane?"

"You seriously couldn't make better friends than these idiots?"

"Look who's talking." Jared snapped at me.

"Oh dear Jared how I've missed you…NOT!" I said as I kicked him in the shin.

"OW Bitch go get yourself fixed!" Jared yelled.

"Why you're the one with a million kids running around that you don't even know about." I screeched back.

"Your right because you can't get any from anyone." He snapped back.

"Oh really?"

I stepped closer to him and stood on my tiptoes and looked him in the eye. I wasn't short I was actually pretty tall. I was 5'8 and this douche bag was 6'6. Matter of fact all my brothers friends were taller than 6'4. He slapped me in the face so I need him where the sun doesn't shine. The 6 others just stood there and watched us make fools of our selves.

"10 bucks on Jane!" Luke said.

"You are so on!" I heard Gabe say.

"Guy stop betting on them." Austin said as he chuckled.

I put my foot on Jared's chest after he fell down in pain. The next thing I knew Jared grabbed my ankle and pulled me to the ground he rolled me over so he was pinning me down on my back. He then leaned down and whispered in my ear.

"I gotcha."

His voice so calm sent shivers down my spine and I think my face may have turned a light pink. I pushed him off me and I stood up and walked upstairs into the kitchen. I heard footsteps following behind. I turned around and saw Jake. His hair had grown longer since the last time I saw him. He smiled a sheepish grin at me.

"Hey Jake, haven't seen you in forever!" I smiled sweetly.

"Ya it's been a real bummer with ya not around."

"I'm sure it has been I mean I bring the life to the party."

'Yeah totally whatever makes your day."

He had changed since the last time I saw him. He wasn't as shy anymore. I didn't know it was possible but he may be even more of a dumbass.

"Yes Jakes because it totally makes me the happiest person on Earth." I rolled my eyes and said that sarcastically.

"I've really missed you Jane."

He wrapped an arm around my waist and pulled me into him. Before I knew what he was doing he had me pinned to the counter and Jared was running into the kitchen with a bucket of ice cold water.

"GUYS! STOP! JARED! STOP!" I whined.

Jared and Jake were in fits of laughter as I was soaking wet. I pouted and walked over to the sink grabbing the dish soup and squeezing it in the faces.

"Everyone hide she's got soup!" I heard Gabe yell from the top of the stairs.

"Oh no the worlds gonna end!" Derek yelled sarcastically.

"You guys are faggots!" I directed towards Gabe and Derek.

I pointed the soup bottle towards Derek who was cracking up laughing. When he noticed I was pointing it at him he put his hands in the air saying he surrendered. A smirk came across my lips and then I started laughing. I put the soup down and grabbed my bag that was by the stairs. I walked upstairs and into my old room that walls were still painted neon green. I change into black skinny jeans and a neon pink shirt and laid on my bed. I let out a deep sigh before laughing to myself.

I must have dozed off because I awoken to the sound of banging on my door.

"WHAT!" I screamed.

"Jane dad's on the phone and wants to talk to you." Derek said.

I stood up and opened the door yanking the phone out of Derek's hands then shutting the door in his face. I yawned then rubbed my eyes.

"Hello?" I said.

"Jane?" Dad said.

"Ya dad?"

"You left some dresses and heels over here would you like me to send them?"

"No I'm good"

"Are you sure it would be no problem for me to send them."

"I'm sure Dad."

"Honey are you alright you sound kind of down."

"Yeah I'm fine I'm just a little tired because I just woke up."

"Oh I'm sorry I told Derek not to wake you up but he didn't listen."

"Its fine Dad don't worry about it." I said yawning.

"Well honey I'll call you again tomorrow."

"Ok Dad."

"I love you Honey."

"I love you too Dad."

With that we hung up I looked in the mirror and man did I look like a mess. My hair was facing every other direction. My eyeliner was all smudged. I walked into the bathroom and brushed my hair then I wiped off the eye liner.

"Much better." I said to myself.

"Who are you talking to?" I heard someone ask.

I turned around to see Jared I kind of growled.

"What do you want Jared?"

"Besides you nothing." He winked and then he burst out laughing.

"You are so full of it."

"Full of what?"

"You suck."

"You swallow." He said smirking.

"You're such a perv."

I pushed him out of my room and laid on my bed thinking. Before I could finish my thoughts I was asleep again.
