My Life As Bitch.

Novel By: MidnightDarkAngel
Young adult

You think that I'm one of the girls who's not inside the popular circle?

Or the nerdy one who's going to have a 'hottie' for a boyfriend?

You think that I'm the girl that's always being mistreated in a story?

Well, you're absolutely wrong.

I'm the pain in your ass. The fly in your house.
The pebble in your shoe. The 'deal' in high school.
The 'typical barbie'. The 'it' girl.
For short, I'm the bitch.
You read right. THE BITCH.

~ Mason

I recently found out that SSU is divided into two. The west side was for boys and the east side was for girls. Meaning, there’s a huge wall that divides the school in half. No boy is allowed to go the girl’s side and vice versa. Except for these special occasions where-in they hold these events at the huge building that looks like a huge ballroom that’s located in the middle of the whole estate. It’s the one of the few chances that they meet the opposite sex.

“Excuse me, but who the hell are you?”

I stopped drying my hair with a towel and stared at the boy inside my room with his back turned to me. He seemed handsome, if not, cute. His head snapped up and his eyes scanned my body. Seeing as I was only in my baby pink underwear with my wet hair dripping water down my body, he immediately flushed and looked at the ceiling.

“Uh—I’m sorry—I—I didn’t—I didn’t mean—I didn’t mean to—” He groaned in frustration. I walked over beside him and continued back on drying my hair.

“Whatever.” I threw my towel on my bed and stood up and walked over the opened suitcase on the couch. “You still didn’t answer my question you know.”

“Uh… Um… Don’t you remember me?” He turned his back to me.

“Obviously, I don’t. If I did, I wouldn’t ask you.” He muttered something under his breath and faced me squarely.

“Mason Farley.” My jaw nearly dropped when he said his name. He held out a hand and I just stared. I couldn’t believe my eyes. This was the boy with the skinny structure and a nerdy face when we were only 8. My best friend since 2nd grade. I didn’t think, I just acted. I launched myself into his arms, not minding that I’m almost naked.

“Mason!” I gasped out. He chuckled and lifted me off the floor and spun me around.

“You finally recognized me.” He said.

“Wow!” I said. He kept me in arms length and looked me from head to toe.

“You’re one to talk.” He twirled me around and pulled me back in for another hug. “Look at you!”

I pulled away and quirked an eyebrow, “Look at you!”

He chuckled again and held up his hands. When he realized that he hugged me in my underwear, his eyes widened and he looked back up the ceiling. I laughed when he did so.

“You do know that I’m still a guy right?” He said with a smile in his voice. “You better wear something or else I’m afraid we might end up on the bed.”

“Haha. Very funny Mase.” I rolled my eyes and pulled on the outfit I prepared for my ‘tour’. When I was leaning down to get the jeans that fell on the floor, I heard Mason whistle behind me.

“Whoa Kirst! Who would’ve ever thought that you had a nice piece of—” He was cut off by the pillow I threw at him. And amazingly, a blush erupted on my face. Not only it surprised me, I suddenly felt self-conscious. I never that way before since I was 15!

“You’re a little late on that update Mase.” I said as I pulled on the jeans. “A lot of guys already said that to me.” I looked at myself in the mirror and decided to put light make up, it makes my face look more natural.

“As if I believe you! Last time you came here, no guy gave you a second glance.” I straightened my back and held my chin up high.

“Look Mase, I changed—”

“I can see that.” I rolled my eyes.

“Seriously. I changed. You don’t know me that well anymore.”

I saw hurt flash in his eyes before it vanished completely. And once again, he made me feel things that I never wanted to feel again. I regretted what I said the moment it left my mouth. I just cleared my throat and held my chin up high.

“Anyways, who did the University send?” He looked confused for a second before grinning and holding out his arm.

“They sent you?” My eyes widened for a moment before I composed myself and hooked my arm through his and grabbed my phone before making our way outside of my room. “So, why did they send you?”

He looked at me like I’m insane before shaking his head and opening the double doors for me, “I’m a Prefect.”

I raised a brow at him but didn’t question. He led me through the parking lot of the guest building and opened the door of a black ford fusion hybrid. I chuckled at his attempt to being chivalrous. I slipped inside the car and waited until he started the car. We pulled out of the parking space and went on our way around the campus.

“Kirsten!!!”

No. No freaking way. One minute, it felt like I never changed and Mase and I are just chilling out at the University’s little cute café in the middle part where all genders meet, the next, I turn back to the bitch. My jaw tightened and my hands curled into fists. I took a deep breath before plastering a very fake smile on my face.

“Hi Tiffany!” My voice was oddly high pitched and… preppy. Her eyes gleamed with mischief. One look at those…those devil’s eyes, I knew she was up to something. “What brings you here?”

She grinned at me and gestured to a figure beside her. My breath caught but I refused to let that bitch get the reaction she wanted out of me. My expression turned scornful and a nasty smile danced upon my lips. My head tilted to the side and I crossed my legs.

“Hi.” I stated. His brown eyes wandered everywhere. He never met my eyes but I willed him to. And once his eyes connected with mine, my throat constricted, my eyes became glassy but I held it in.

“Hi….” He slowly said. His voice sounded the same. It still made my knees weak and my heart beat a little bit faster. Whoa, whoa, whoa. Hold up. This was the guy who changed your life. Push that unnecessary feelings back where it’s supposed to be.

It was Mason who broke the spell. He got up from his chair and held out his hand, “Mason. Mason Farley.”

“Tom Klent.” He said. He wrapped an arm around Tiffany’s waist and said, “This is Tiffany, my girlfriend.”

I had to look away. I couldn’t bear with it anymore. I need a good distraction. Mason suddenly invited them to sit with us, so much to my horror, they sat down and chatted. I could feel an awkward air hanging between Tom and I.

“So, are you Kirsten’s boyfriend?” The Devil suddenly asked. I narrowed my eyes at her and let Mason answer that one. He laughed and took a sip of his drink.

“No way. I’m her best friend.” Tiffany raised a brow and leaned forward.

“You don’t like her that way?” She asked again. Mason looked uncomfortable with this conversation so I butted in.

“What the hell Tiffany?” Three pairs of eyes stared at me a little wide eyed. “Mind your own business.”

I crossed my arms over my chest and glared at her while she did her little shrug, “Sheesh, just wanted to know if someone still likes you.”

I rolled my eyes dramatically at her and stood up, excusing myself to go to the bathroom. After doing what I needed to do and went out the door. But when I stepped out of the bathroom, I suddenly bumped into a petite girl who was unfortunately holding a glass of water.

My eyes widened in shock as I felt the cold water trickle down the side of my face. I looked down at my jacket, glad that I had it on and the water didn’t damage my top. But, my jacket suffered. I turned on the best glare I ever had and shot it to the wide-eyed girl with a name tag stating that she was only a trainee. She wore very unflattering jeans and a huge hoodie that made her look like she doesn’t have any curves—which she really doesn’t.

“What. Did. You. Do?!” I punctuated each word with a step towards her. She cowered in my gaze and she frantically searched for an escape. The café didn’t have many costumers; there were only 2 or three, and they are now looking at us.

“I—I’m… I didn’t—I didn’t mean—”

“Do you know what you got yourself into?” She shook her head and fear was evident in her eyes.

“I—I’m s—s—sorry…” She stuttered out.

“You better be.” I advanced on her until her back bumped on the nearest table. “Cause I will make your life a living hell if you ever do this again.”

Tears were pooling in her eyes and I gave her another glare before it poured freely from her eyes. I slowly backed up and gave her one last message, “Do yourself a favor. Don’t let your grandmother dress you again.”

She broke into sobs and ran outside. I grimaced at my reflection and took a handful of tissues before I went out to sit back with Mason. And when I went outside, my blood boiled as they chatted and laughed as if they knew each other way back.

I gritted my teeth together and took of my wet jacket before drying myself with the tissues and plopped myself down the chair. Mase took one look at me and laughed.

“Whoa Kirst. What happened?” I gave him a glare but I couldn’t stand his goofy grin so I nudged his shoulder with mine. My mood though, diminished when Tiffany butted in.

“Finally, someone had the guts to do that to you!” She exclaimed and did the slow-clap. Tom grabbed her arm and whispered something in her ear. She glared at him before smirking at me.

“Yeah well, I guess I’m glad then that I made her cry.” The guys reaction was hilarious. Both of their eyes bulged out and stared at me like I’m a new person.

“You made someone cry?” Mason said. He was clearly the most surprised.

I shrugged and leaned back against my seat, “You see the girl that ran out the café crying a couple of minutes ago?”

He nodded.

“That was her.”

His expression looked stricken. He stared at me like he didn’t know me. Like I somehow grew another head and another pair of eyes.

“Pfft!” Tiffany scoffed. “Don’t be surprised Mason. That’s just like sipping soup or something like that for Kirsten. An appetizer. Wait until you see what she’s really made of.”

Tom looked like he was as shocked as Mason but nevertheless, Mason looked hurt and…sad.

“Look Mason. I already told you before. I changed.” He ignored what I said and faced Tiffany.

“What else does she do?” He asked, his voice was barely above a whisper.

Tiffany held back an evil smirk, “Oh, nothing major.” She looked at her fingernails and flicked her eyes up. “She just sleeps with every guy she sees. Scares the crap out of the students at school. Bitch everyone out and most of the time, makes everyone’s life a living hell.”

His face turned blank and before I knew it, he stood up and walked away. I was dumbfounded when he did. I never knew I’d make such an impact for him. I got up from my seat and ran after him—which was really hard considering I’m in heels.

“Mase!” He didn’t turn back.

Before he even got to the car, I grabbed his arm and pulled him back. My heart was pounding and I never thought I’d regret everything I did because of Mason. He brought my back. He brought back the old feeling buried deep in me.

“Look Mase. It’s not such a big deal.” I said. His eyes hardened and he looked at me with a look that shocked me to my core.

“Not such a big deal?” He spat. “You’re a fucking bitch now Kirst!”

I cringed. He made me feel sick. Dirty. Wicked. I never felt like a real bitch and hated it until now.

“A fucking bitch Kirsten!” He slapped my hand away. “Not only a bitch, but also a whore!”

I bit my lip and looked away. I heard him walking away but not before I heard his words.

“What happened to you Kirsten?”
