It was in the afternoon after school before I saw Kei again. Jun was found all right but was told to stay in the infirmary for the rest of the day; she was in a state of shock when she arrived there.
He smiled at me when he walked by me, he smelled lovely.
I looked back at him, he was getting farther away.
“So what’s what with your hand?” I asked abruptly.
He hesitated, then he looked back at me, surprised, “You noticed?”
I nodded, startled at the sight of him. I felt a pulsing, red beat throughout my body again.
“So you saw it too? That thing that was on Jun?”
I nodded again, knowing how stupid I looked then. My attention span was getting slower and slower. All I could notice was Kei, standing there…, the boy who gave me my first present from a boy…ever.
“So why didn’t YOU stop it?” He looked frustrated.
“I couldn’t, I don’t have powers that exceed beyond just sensing them.”
He chuckled and walked closer, “I see, so you’re a yumegari then?”
I nodded, “Not a very good one.” I laughed awkwardly and then put my hand on my head, trying to stop myself from exploding.
He walked close to me again; it was now that I noticed no one was in the halls besides us two. His face was a few inches away from me; I could almost touch his hair with mine.
He let out his hand, in a form of a handshake, “Nice to meet you Bella Suk, I’m Kei Shindo, a fellow ghost hunter.”
