This here is just as small intro to the story and I really hope you guys like it. This one here I took time to come up with and I really hope you like it. Please comment you're opinions no matter how harsh they may be. Thank you and I hope you enjoy. :D
Daddy used to tell me that when things get tough look to the sun, cause it'll always be there to brighten up your day. Boy did I love when he used to tell me that. I'd always sit on his lap and he'd always brush my hair back and tell me stories about momma and how beautiful she was. He told me that I looked exactly like her. But I don't get to hear stories about momma anymore; and daddy's not here to brush my hair either...
"Isabella Cinders get your tail down here this instant." Martha called out to me. I groan slightly at the sound of her annoying voice. Since my father passed away she got everything to her name. His money, house... even the damn bed that I slept on was in her name. I couldnt escape from her since daddy told me to look after her... and her two girls as well. But Cindy and Annabell were the same age as me so I didnt see why I had to tend to their every need.
I slowly got out of bed and got dressed in a long sleeved yellow blouse, a long corset blue dress, short brown apron, yellow stockings and brown boots. I pulled back my red hair into a mess bun before I left the attic and walked down the three flights of stairs, down to the living room.
"Yes Martha." I said as politely as I could.
"Id like you to accompany the girls and I into the city today. Now, you best be on your best behavior, or else i'll have you locked away in the attic for a month. We will be leaving in 5 minutes."
"Yes Martha." I sighed before walking ahead outside.
I grabbed the basket near the wheat farm out back where the land seemed to go one forever; while sitting on the old stone bench. I hummed to my self a lullaby my father always sung to me when
"I wander o'er
green hills through dreamy valleys,
And find a peace no other land would know.
I hear the birds make music fit for angels,
And watch the rivers laughing as they flow.
And then into a humble shack I wander
My dear old home and tenderly behold,
The folks I love around the turf fire, gathered.
On bended knees, their rosary is told.
But dreams don't last
Though dreams are not forgotten
And soon I'm back to stern reality.
But though they pave the footways here with gold dust,
I still would choose my Isle of Inisfree."
My thoughts were interrupted when Martha, Cindy and Annabell walked out of out mansion like house. They all piled into the carriage and I stayed on foot and followed behind as Colin tapped the horses, causing them to pull away. I lowered my head and walked with blurred eyes. Father would have never allowed something like this to happen. He would simply place me in his lap and sit next to Colin, singing songs until were got into city.
But then I thought... Martha was nothing like my father. She had not an ounce of love for others in her body. She was driven by greed and greed it self cursed her every desire. I wiped my eyes quickly and carried on walking with my head help high, along with my hopes and dreams.
We arrived at the city to find the towns people filled with delight Mr.Dolen had his fresh crumb cakes out and ready to sell. While Mrs.Finnly had her finest fruits and vegitables out for display. The Kingdom of Inisfree was always festive during this time of the year. The king would host his annual ball for the prince and all the women of the kingdom would be invited... Except for me of course.
Martha didn't like me to wither her down with embarrassment. So, I end up having loads of made-up chores to do. Or I'd simply go for swim in 'Angel's creek'. My life was rough, but the memories of everyone who loved me dearly still lives happily in my heart.
Martha ordered me to gather up the groceries that we'd need for the rest of the week. I nodded my head and obeyed her orders. The carriage went away with Martha and the girls as I made my way to the market. Everyone in town was always so nice to me. It always seemed to brighten up my day.
I went around, from stand to stand gathering up all the nessasary things when I bumped into a muscular figure, causing all the food to fall out of my hands and unto the grummy cobble road.
"Oh dear! I'm so sorry." I said as I gathered the food into the basket.
"It's okay, I didnt see you there. If anyone is to be at fault it is me." He said as his hands grazed above mine cauing me to look up into his ocean blue orbs.
"Oh my..." I said out loud as he flashed a smile that made my cheeks go red. I cleared my throat, stood up and grabbed the last remaining item from his hand.
"No really, it was my fault... I should have watched where I was going." I smiled polietly.
But before he could respond back a group of gaurds gathered around us.
"Prince Edwards we've been looking everywhere for you. You're father has been waiting patiently to start the council meeting. Come along now..." A shy servant said. I gasped to myself before bowing to the prince and slowly walked.
"Miss I didnt get your name?!" He shouted.
"Isabella Cinders... Your Highness." I said and bowed once more before completely vanishing into the crowd.
