I froze right where I was.
FLASH BACK:
“Come on Em.” Josh waved to me.
“I’m coming.” I told him.
When I reached him he put his arm around me and then kissed me. He then put his hand up my shirt.
“Josh, stop.” I pushed him away.
Josh put his hand around my throat and threw me against the brick wall of the school.I started to black out.
Beep, beep
I opened my eyes to find that I was in a dark room.I got up and started to feel for the light switch.When I found it I flipped the lights on, but it was still dark that’s when I heard my mom say,
“Oh, honey I didn’t know you where a wake.”
“Mom, can you turn on the lights?” I asked her.
My mom started to cry.
“Mom, what’s the mater?” I tried to find where she was.
“Honey, don’t you get it your blind.” She sobbed.
END OF FLASH BACK
“Josh, but you aren’t supposed to be here. I thought you left?” I was shaking now.
“Well, I decided I have been away from my girl way to long.” He said to me.
“Grr...”Brook growled.
“My I come in?” He asked in a no mater what voice.
I tried to slam the door in his face, but he put his foot in the way.
“You shouldn’t have done that.” He smirked.
“Please, just leave me alone.” I cried.
“Now, why should I do that?” He had a smile in his voice.
“Because…because I’m not your…your girl any more.”I tried to straiten up.
All of a sudden I felt his hand go around my neck.He then pushed me against the wall.All the air got knocked out of me.
“You will always be mine.” He hissed in my ear.“Ahhh!”
I heard him scream and he let me go.I then heard Brook’s muffed growl, which I was assuming was coming from where Josh’s leg is.
“Good, girl Brook.” When I said that I heard her yelp in pain.
I walked over to where I heard Brook whining.
“Oh, Brook.” I pet her head.
“Do you think you can get rid of me with that stupid dog?” I heard Josh hiss into my left ear.
I didn’t answer him.He then threw me against the wall.I let a cry of pain escape from my mouth.Then I heard Josh say,
“Who the hell are you?” He yelled at a stranger I’m guessing standing in my door way.
“Well, I’m one of Emily’s friends and you are?” I heard a male say.
“Well, I’m Emily’s boyfriend.” Josh snapped.
“Well, if you where her boyfriend I don’t think you would be beating her up.”The man snapped at him.
I then heard Josh move towards the man by the open door. The next thing I knew
I’m being carried.
“It’s okay he wont be back any more.” I heard the second male say in my ear.
“Brook?”Was all I said.
“Well, I hate to say this but your dog-”
“No, she can’t be dead.” I started to sob.
The guy put me on my bed and rubbed my shoulders.
“It’s okay.” He told me while giving me a hug.
“It’s just so hard.She was my best friend since I was born.” I sobbed into his shoulder.
He just let me cry till I couldn’t cry any more.When I was done I asked,
“Who, are you any way?” I asked sincerely.
“I’m Andrew.”He said truthfully.
“Of course how did I not recognize his voice?” I thought to my self.“Why are you hear?” I asked him.
“Don’t you remember we have a date tonight?”He said hurt.
“Oh, I was getting ready when J-Josh came over.”I tensed up.
“Well, I will let you finish getting ready.I will be down stairs.”He smiled.
I went to my closet and grabbed a black dress and black flip-flops.I then did my hair into a messed-up ponytail.When I was done I walked down the stairs.
“Are you ready to go?” Andrew asked.
“Yes.” I said in a sad voice.
“Are you okay?”He asked concerned.
“Yes, I just miss Brook.” I held back the tears.
We walked out to his car and he held the door open for me.I got in the car and buckled myself in.
“So, where are we going?” I was cereous.
“We are going to go to my house.” He smiled.
“Oh, why?” I was nervous.
“Because my family wanted me to bring a friend over.” He said.“By the way you look very pretty.”
“Thank you, am I over dressed?” I fiddled with the seatbelt.
“No you look perfect.”I felt his eyes looking at me.
“So when are we going to get there?” I changed the subject.
“Right now.” I felt the car stop.
